Top Five Sentai Warrior Death Scenes

In response to Fantasy Leader's picking top five villain death scenes, I want to write my choices of best Sentai ranger death scenes.  Here are the which I consider to be highly powerful, not a WTF moment and had a great significance.  Here are they based on my opinion and I admit I got pretty confused while writing on this:

5.) Naoto Takizaka- Although I'll say WTF at the start because a single Zenitto killed him BUT I have to give credit to that he was keeping his promise to a young girl.  Also I'd like to say that before he died, he left the V-Rex to Tatsuya/Time Red and gave them the solution that would inevitably lead to the demise of the Neo-Crisis.

4.) Bullblack- As an anti-hero who slowly lets go of his selfishness, I find his death quite powerful before Hyuuga replaced him.  At first he wanted revenge for his younger brother Krantz, he was using selfish means but later becomes selfless.  His death to save the Gingamen from a hate energy explosion was IMO very touching.

3.) Mikoto Nakadai- Okay he started off as a major SOB, a villain and all but later on, he was starting to see the light even if he spent more time in Abaranger as a villain.  At first he was really despicable yet in the end, he died peacefully and even took himself away to avoid others from being harmed.  Or maybe I'm just biased because he's so awesome in either role as hero or a villain that he's here.  What made it sad also was that he was already at peace with the Abarangers after a long term of being enemies with them yet he didn't get to really enjoy it much.

2.) Burai- He may not be as bad-ass as Mikoto but I think his death is more powerful than that of Mikoto's but some will disagree with me as well.  What I liked about how his death was written was because he had already reconciled with his brother Geki, he had also spent his final hours helping a boy named Kouta get better and that he told the Zyurangers to save the boy- however the water of life can't work anyway because he had already died a first time.  There was much drama in that episode too which was also well-connected to his younger brother Geki.  Bandora was such a bitch too, to destroy the lapseless room which led to hastening his death.  His death was also that great that the Dragon Caesar mourned his loss and nearly didn't overcome the trauma of losing his partner, until Geki helped the Dragon Caesar recover.

1.) Mika Koizumi/Yellow Four 1- Despite the fact she was quickly killed off because Yuki Yajima left the set, I considered her death for the top one in the list.  Okay she was at first hesitant to accept her destiny as Yellow Four but she came to get along with the Biomen, even if she and Shiro didn't easily get along because of her passion.  However when Mason used the Bio Killer Gun against the Biomen and she was hit (in the act of shielding Red One without knowing the weapon's true nature) she knew she was dying.  So what she did was that rather than let all five die, she took the remaining shots of the deadly Bio Killer Gun until it ran out of ammo.  Her sacrifice wasn't in vain because would have she not done it, the whole team would have died.  Now both her and her brother are dead too, and she died not being able to preserve his memory.

  1. Ah yes. I very much remember the death of Yellow 4 in Bioman. It always makes me sad whenever I think about it.

  2. We have the same n°1 lol. Jun Yabuki is my favorite senshi but Mika's death was great. I also like the last part when Mika show a video of her to say goodbye.

  3. You forget to put Battle Cossack's death as he got gun down since he left his change bracelet behind. Even though Demon Boxer Jin was not a Sentai member or a hero. His death scene was fairly touching as he had no where to go and was injured. He had his final bout with Zaidos and his Kot patrol. While flipping his coin, he defeat all he can till he was gunnned down and his coin finally falls to the sand.

    1. Thanks for bringing the matter up Doctor Professor

For Gai Yuki, I do think his death wasn't very powerful IMO. I mean for him to be stabbed while doing a daily good deed wouldn't make it to the top five unless if this were a top then, I'd probably but him 6th or 7th.

However I do have doubts that Gai Yuki died via stabbing, rather he may have died in battle since he was "missing in action" for some time.

BTW can you please be a follower of this blog? Thanks a lot.

    2. I see what you are saying. His death wasn't 'epic' but i think that is why it stands out to me. He's like the soldier who gets killed on the way home from war. Was just curious about your thoughts on his death.

    3. For me Gai's death was kinda random though not senseless, it was just shocking if he ever died from that stabbing. Now I'd like tos hare other thoughts. I was just thinking though in Gokaiger 28, Gai Yuki was "missing in action" it may be a hint he died in battle and not by the thug who stabbed him. Just my two cents because Gokaiger 28 didn't mention the thug but mentioned he was indeed confirmed dead.

      Thanks for following.

  5. Yes indeed! But in Power Rangers, Dr. Tommy Oliver, Eric Myers and Trent Fernandez didn't die. Tommy lost his Green Ranger Powers, Eric Myers temporarily lost his Quantum Ranger Powers until Wild Force's two-parter "Reinforcements From The Future" and Trent Fernandez joined the Dino Thunder Rangers after the evil spell has been broken on him, yet his lost his Zord except that his powers were still there in him.

    1. That's where Sentai draws the line with Power Rangers. Here's what I think:

Tommy's loss of powers IMO was really a result of the fact they can't kill him in a children's show. It was nice to give him extended footage but sigh, it was getting boring. The battles were becoming long and dragging.

Eric Myers- I was thinking that his survival was realistic since unlike Naoto Takizawa, he wasn't hit at a vital organ.

Trent Fernandez- Another evil spell? Well Mikoto was under the influence of the Evorian "god" too... but I dont' find him as great as Mikoto. He was still a decent character though.

Oh thanks for dropping by and welcome to this Sentai blog!!!!

    2. Well Green Ranger's extended footage is exciting if it was the Toei's original action scenes such as the Zyu 2 scenes. I thought that if they used those for Zyuranger OVA special it would be a blast but sadly Zyuranger was not a popular Sentai series and the early 90's did not think of extending the line up.
