King-Ohger Episode 13: The Emissary Of Hell Hit By An Ill-Timed Fart Joke

Looks like Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger's possible status as a celebratory season ain't gonna stop. I personally wanted to be more irregular as I react to updates. However, it seems that Jeramie Brasserie (or maybe, I should call him Jeremy in future posts) has become a magical version of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. The title almost suggests that Spider Kumonos is an emissary from Hell - the very title that Japanese Spider-Man gave himself! The only thing missing are some machine gun actions.

It was nice to see some history lessons. Okay, we've got the Kingdom of N'Kosopa having been bullied by Shugoddom since it started. I guess the late Corsus Hastie hasn't been a good king either - explaining why Yanma has a distrust with Racules. Racules apparently has inherited his dad's conceited personality. It's revealed that N'Kosopa rose up with a single computer from a FREAKING JUNKYARD. What kind of sorcery and science is that? I could remember Junk World from Engine Sentai Go-onger. There was the Wrath of the Gods event - something that I'm tempted to assume was linked to events from Kamen Rider Saber and Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog even when it's plain impossible.

This is all because Shiokara asks Jeremy to go to the factory. Yes, that factory is where N'Kosopa was established as a technotopia kingdom. Apparently, people in N'Kosopa have mixed science and sorcery to create rather weird devices. The lie detector that amazingly didn't kill Gira or Shiokara seems to invoke supernatural magic. The people were able to communicate with the ShuGods with AI.

The episode though has what I might call an ill-timed fart joke. Okay, some people do hate fart jokes. I remembered it when Kaiju No Kami did his review on Kosoku Sentai Turboranger. Kaiju mentioned one of the worst episodes was Zulten becoming a fart machine. This episode did have Yanma focus on creating a GIGANTIC FART CUSHION. I wonder if Racules is meant to become a Butt Monkey of a villain. Racules as some Fantastic Racism and Large Ham theatrics. Heck, even an imagined scenario has Racules sitting on the fart cushion (which would use Jeramy's transformation device). However, that could be a bad move as Racules might actually start the production of nuclear weapons to destroy N'Kosopa. Racules is rather very petty like General Sakamori Miwa from Tosshou Daimos. Both of them do have Fantastic Racism and often clash with the protagonists.

The fart joke could serve as a very serious distraction. Isn't it that we're having an ongoing introductory arc of the Emissary of Hell ahem the Angry Spider? I can't blame Jeramie for getting mad that his mother's memento was used for a nasty prank. I feel Jeramie's pain which causes him to unleash his Emissary of Hell attitude in the next battle.

What amazes me is the mixture of stuntmen and the main cast. Before that, we do have Gira who's dressed up as Sebastian (as ordered by Himeno) since Racules is still trying to confirm Gira's death. I wonder how long will Gira's "death" be kept up? Hopefully, not for long since I kinda want to see Gira beat up Racules the same way Kazuya Ryuzaki does in Daimos to Miwa. Right now, I'm crossing my fingers to have Racules prepare nuclear weapons in an attempt to destroy all Bugnaroks.

I do still feel the other King-Ohgers are frustrated with the way Jeramie is speaking. I'm reminded of how some people like to speak in riddles too. Is it because Jeramy is a storyteller? I couldn't exactly know the reason behind Jeramie speaking in riddles. I kinda wish Rita Kaniska would say, "Your riddles are giving me such a headache." to Jeramie. I did wish Spider Kumonos would draw a machine gun and give some cartoony action. We have had some cartoony stupidity here and there. I don't see any reason why Spider Kumonos should be exempt from doing so!

Spider Kumonos' mecha God Tarantula shows up. I kinda wanted to imagine Leopardon from Japanese Spider-Man would show up. Instead, we get a more accurate mecha fit for a Japanese Spider-Man. The humanoid form hasn't shown up yet. It's amazing how Gerojim participates in Jeramie's schemes. Speaking of the use of the God Tarantula - I did get from TV Tropes that Jeramie's name may be derived from Palaeotarbus Jeramie - the oldest species of an extinct Trigonotarbida order of anarchnids. The names can be meaningful such as Rita Kaniska is after the Ruritaha or Blue Admiral Butterfly.

Speaking of which, I could remember an episode in Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger where Bandora's monster Dora Tarantula with the strange butterflies. Is that reference even intentional such as Rita Kaniska is Rita and now we have a tarantula? In Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers - footage of Dora Tarantula was used as Spidertron. Okay, the use of the suffix -tron tends to be used for mechanical beings.

There's going to be some mystery-building. Some things will be answered and some things wouldn't. Himeno assumes that the Auxillary ShuGods are forced to follow Jeramie. It's revealed in the preview that Himeno assumes that maybe Jeramie may have been the mysterious man who murdered her parents. The King-Ohgers are literally in a sticky situation.

The show tries to explore the idea that not all humans are good and not all Bugnaroks are bad. I guess Daimos hitting its 45th anniversary brought back this idea. Racules wants to exterminate all Bugnarok AT ALL COSTS. I guess future episodes will have Racules butting heads with the King-Ohgers because the former is SUCH. A. BIGOT.

Next week would involve Himeno trying to bring Jeramie to justice. I don't think the mysterious murderer may be revealed any time soon. My only WMG is that the mysterious murderer must've been Corsus, the father of both Racules and Gira. Maybe, the murderer is only dead for all we know. Maybe, it's Deathnarok VIII who did the murder. It's still not certain but the story seems to be building up.
