Some Things in Common Between Shinkenger and ToQGer

Shinkenger and ToQGer (an ongoing series) are both having Takaaki Utsunomiya as its chief producer and Yasuko Kobayashi as its head writer.  Now here's some similarities between Shinkenger and ToQGer:

The most obvious is the color coding.  For some reason except for Gobusters, Yasuko Kobayashi ends up getting assigned the colors red, green, blue, yellow and pink when it comes to her being the main writer.  Also take note that Kobayashi was also a sub-writer for Megaranger, Gogo V and Boukenger.

Both Mojikara and Imagination kind of work in a way.  The Shinkengers use their mojikara not only to master their elements but also to make certain things become real by using that power for combat or other purposes.  The ToQGers used their imagination powers to imagine certain things to life to assist them in combat.

Both series had a crossover with the Kamen Rider series that aired alongside it.  Shinkenger aired in a two-partner crossover with Kamen Rider Decade.  ToQGer had a crossover with Gaim in movie form rather than a two-partner arc.

For the villains, both factions target to take over the Earth by harnessing the negative feelings of humans such as sadness, despair, anger, etc.  For the Gedoushu, every time a massive collection of negative feelings happen, the Sanzu River rises up.  For the Shadow Line, every time they cause negative emotions, the darkness spreads.  Also both their leaders Doukoku and Emperor Z tend to get weak when away from their natural environment.  Gedoushu run away when they dry up, Shadow Liners get poisoned by light.

    1. For me, Shinkenger is better. ToQGer might be boring for me due to my age. Just check it out though so you can have your opinion.

  2. When I first saw this, I thought "Hey I also noticed similarities between ToQ and Shinken." I was surprised you didn't include the similarities with the mechs:
    1. the five-piece mecha - Shinken-Oh and ToQ-Oh
    2. three auxillary mechs that form a separate mech
    - Kabuto, Kajiki, and Tora Origamis form DaiTenku; Car Carrier, Tank, and Diesel Resshas form Diesel-Oh) which later combines with the main mech (Tenku Shinken-Oh and Cho ToQ-Oh)
    3. the sixth ranger mechs (Daikai-Oh and Build Dai-Oh) which also combines with the main mech (Daikai Shinken-Oh and Cho Cho ToQ Dai-Oh)
    4. the other extra mech (Ushi Origami and Hyper Ressha Tei-Oh) which also combines with the previous mechs (Samurai Ha-Oh and ToQ Rainbow)
