  Last week, we had the Bugnarok Treaty . Something goes wrong and the Obviously Evil rat isn't too much of a Walking Spoiler. Apparently, Racules himself hasn't gotten over what Yanma did  but isn't that taking things TOO FAR? I was hoping Gira would stop faking it in this spot. However, Yanma still feels that the time isn't right. I guess people in the World of King-Ohger don't have Super Sentai as a show within a show. If Yanma saw Ucchu Sentai Kyuranger - I guess he'd be familiar with the type of person Lucky is. Racules calls for a treaty with the Bugnaroks with this condition - destroy the rival states. Racules wants Yanma to bow down to him.   This week's King-Ohger may have some bit more Easter eggs or not? We get to see Rita Kaniska develop to when she became a ten-year-old sovereign. Okay, has anybody even made the rules of succession clear? Isn't 10 years old TOO EARLY for just anyone to become the Chief Justice? Where are all the people Rita Kaniska out?  This week doesn't seem to have one of Rita Kaniska's "I"ve got such a headache!" moments. Instead, we have Rita Kaniska wanting the Moffun premium but she's got rules to follow. Morfonia tells Rita Kaniska about the new Moffun accessory but she REJECTS it. TBH, I think the Moffun collection seems incomprehensible since I never bothered to collect different types of action figurines of both Spider-Man and Wolverine - two of my favorite Marvel characters! Personally, I don't like crossover movies these days. Sure, I can expect them to be as non-canon as the Dragon Ball Z movie series. Here, I felt that there could've been the usual way to excuse things like make a movie-only timeline. Instead, the movie does try to "solve things" by creating two parallel worlds between Zenkaiger and its successor Donbrothers . I may have not liked Zenkaiger based on its execution (I feel Junko Komura just sucks with anniversaries ) but the unorthodox team is something I'm willing to see again. Meamwhile, Donbrothers has a more unorthodox team of humans. Two hardly typical Super Sentai teams meet together for this strange crossover. The movie begins with Kashiwa Mochi (Red Bean Sticky Rice Cake) World from the world of Zenkaiger . A lot of crazy stuff happen such as when Zoxi becomes the puppet king called Kashiwa Mochi King. Kagaku Sentai Dynaman hits its 40th anniversary this year, right? It was in 1983 when Dynaman made a hit. Blink and you may miss one feature - it was the first Super Sentai entry that used spandex for the clothing design. Previous seasons used cotton-based suits. For some reason, Toei used cloth since 1975. Heck, that suit used for Japanese Spider-Man was obviously made of cotton. It wasn't until 1983 when Super Sentai started to use that one element - yes it's spandex but remember that it's NOT spandex in-script ! The invention of spandex is older than Super Sentai . In fact, it was invented by chemist Joseph Shivers at DuPont. Eventually, spandex was used for sports. I was wondering if the supply-demand gap for spandex was still low in Japan until 1982. From Himitsu Sentai Goranger up to Dai Sentai Goggle V - we can easily see how the usage of cotton fabric was the thing. This might sound really biased because I dislike Power Rangers . However, I can understand if there are Power Rangers fans who check out Super Sentai and conclude they still like the American localization namely  Power Rangers Lost Galaxy better. The rumor that Lost Galaxy is more popular than Gingaman has been disproven. Meanwhile, it can be proven that the American fandom thinks Lost Galaxy is better than Gingaman  even without citing the disproven rumor.  Gingaman continues to be as So Okay It's Average with or without Lost Galaxy in the picture. I watched Gingaman without thinking about Lost Galaxy . The same couldn't be said about Choshinsei Flashman where I dropped Lost Galaxy like a hot potato. Weird but it happened! The show finally got a licensed DVD release. Is the show considered enjoyable but never excellent? In my case, I've enjoyed a few watchable messes like Kamen Rider BLACK RX and B-Fighter Kabuto . Some shows do well but may have never gotten beyond that...

  This week gets rather awkward and interesting. There seem to be some Easter eggs here and there. Provided, several shows (and a movie) hit a major anniversary whether it's Japanese Spider-Man's 45th anniversary, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers' 30th anniversary or the 25th anniversary of Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog and the film called  The Man in the Iron Mask. Okay, you know how I love to do forced comparisons. This episode can come out awkward with some more background development.  We see the Kingdom of Toufu in its development. We first see Kaguragi visit a fortune teller to tell him what could happen. We also get to see the history of Toufu - complete with mouth-watering tofu of course! Is it me or has food porn been a staple in many shows these days ? Jeramie also talks about some history such as how Kaguragi led a rebellion against an unseen previous lord.
