Kiramager 26: Create The Arrow
Last week's episode introduced us to this new bitch, Yodonna. I wonder if we're going to get a Kiramager movie called Kiramager Versus Road because of the actress Nashiko Momotsuki? This episode shows all the more how ruthless the new field general, Yodonna, can be. At this point, I feel like I'm getting what I'd call a toned-down version of Queen Ahames from Changeman.
Yodonna is such a bitch. Okay, got away with it! Yodonna shows her frightening power by replicating Bomb Marrsk for her grand plan to open the canyon. She also treats the Muddites as disposable foot soldiers - something that disgusts Tametomo.
Meanwhile, the Energia Grantersone has shown its limits. Yes, getting yourself powered up can also mean your defenses lower down. Speaking of which - some people get more powerful at the cost of their defenses. Some fighting games do have that mechanic that you get a temporary power boost at the cost of something. The Monstone gets easily defeated as a result.
Turns out that King Oradin and the shrine priest met once before. They did have some archery competition which would give the plot of this episode.
The whole idea of using Energia was risky. The valid concerns were that their body could be worn out as a result of the power-up. I guess that's why some villains do get powered up and end up easily worn out even with the massive damage they caused.
The solution is to create a new upgrade that would boost them for only 100 seconds. This was to make sure that they don't strain their body. Speaking of which - I'm reminded of how Winspector's Fire suit could go lightspeed but the strain on the body is so high. Also, Megasilver's powers in Megaranger would only last 2.5 minutes. I wonder would they find a way to increase its usage time at the cost of its power? Hopefully!
Yodonna gets criticized that she has no friends. However, the nightmare has just begun. I wonder how Yodonna will cause more trouble for the others.
What scares me (at least in past) and gets me excited is how Yodonna may menace the heroes. It would be a very scary thought that she's actually the second-in-command. Is she secretly the emperor's daughter? That's a very frightening thought. Also, Carantula did mention she may be hiding something. I hope it's not a bad plot twist!
No giant robot battle for today. I'm just reminded of some Zyuranger episodes where the Dora Monster isn't enlarged and usually ends up with Bandora's tantrums or because a lot of scenes were devoted to action scenes. Apparently, this was the case here since the phoenix upgrade had a showcase of CGI and stuntman cooperation. Though, I hope action directors will find creative ways to insert more suitless fight scenes. Then again, they're only there when the plot calls for it and they could also derail the plot. Hmmm... am I getting nitpicky again?
Next week is a Sena-focused episode. Also, I heard SRCTC from Gekiranger is getting involved. Miki and her daughter Natsume are showing up huh? Wait, wut? Well, looks like Toei decided to break the self-contained walls or what? Again, remember that most Super Sentai series are usually meant to be self-contained or take place in another universe. So what Universe does Kiramager belong to?
