Kiramager 34: Blue And Yellow Passion

This week's Kiramager tests the bonds of friendship between Shiguru and Tametomo. Also, this week's writer is Kaori Kaneko which in turn should give Naruhisa Arakawa some room to relax. 

Garza obviously hasn't gotten over the plan gone wrong. Yodonna then shows up with yet another despicable plan. Yodonna does her usual cartoony, less exaggerated version, of Dr. Evil's hammy laugh as she prepares another plan of hers.

There's ab it of billiard between Juuru, Shiguru, and Tametomo. The three of them would later use this creative shot to win the battle later on.

Yodonna reveals just how cruel she is. She feels that friends aren't important as she's well, your typical spoiled princess with an obnoxious laugh. What she does next is just so evil - she manages to use the power of friendship against the rangers. Her trap gets Shiguru poisoned. Even worse, she would have an ace card that only the poisoned victim can destroy the mask. 

Meanwhile, Garza manages to reverse the odds by using the King Express against the rangers. Poor Kiramei Green is held hostage while Kiramei Pink and Kiramei Silver are hapless. This is really the big time they've been waing for.

Is it me or is this where Sentai villains usually fall off? If they kept their mouths shut then they would've succeeded. Instead, Yodonna gets overconfident and brags off that only Shiguru can destroy the mask. It really shows how she enjoys sadism.

Kiramei Blue tries to destroy the mask from above but the poison is getting worse. I really can't help but think how Yodonna is a sadistic prick in what she does. Yodonna willingly prolongs the agony. Is it me or do Sentai villains always get overconfident when they seem to be winning?

Meanwhile, Grateful Phoenix appears and the sibling rivalry resumes. King Oradin battles his brother for power. This one is part of Garza's plan to destroy his older brother.

The bond between Tametomo and Shiguru is further tested. What's really more is that flaws from each side are revealed. Shiguru tends to be like Hoji in Dekaranger - a guy who's so professional that he doesn't want to be seen at his weakest! Though, Shiguru seems to be a watered down Hoji for me. 

A bit of creativity has Kiramei Yellow deflect the attack of Kiramei Blue. This causes the mask to be destroyed hence curing Kiramei Blue. They try to put an end to Yodonna but...

It turns out that something is on. Yodonna in her weakened state gets some rescue from Emperor Yodon who's heard speaking after several episodes. Why is it just now that he's speaking? It just reminds me of how Kamen Rider Black and its sequel Black RX had the main antagonists speaking the least words! I feel Yodonna might be the daughter of Yodon after all!

Garza could've finished his brother Oradin if it wasn't for the orders to save Yodonna. Garza knows he can't defy Emperor Yodon's command. Emperor Yodon is probably Yodonna's father. Maybe, we might see the Big Bad being a caring father and a ruthless villain at the same time. The day is saved only because Yodonna was nearly killed in battle. 

Juuru ends up drawing his vision of Emperor Yodon. Recently, there are magazine leaks of Emperor Yodon' himself. Will Yodon eventually become more active after this episode? Hopefully!

Next week will be a Mabusheena focused episode. What wicked scheme is getting hatched next? I feel Yodonna won't be so easy especially when she nearly died in this episode!
