Some Boukenger Casts Cosplaying Photos

Image
Remembering the Boukenger 30 encyclopedia, I found some of these pictures to remember the fun moments in Boukenger. The Boukengers in Turborangers' school uniforms. Somehow I think their suits resemble the Turborangers in some way. They really look great in Chinese outfits especially the women. In the Megarangers' school uniforms. Loved how Eiji Takaoka gets mad here. Sadly only Satoru Akashi dresses up in the Timeranger outfit. In their Gaoranger costumes. Honestly speaking, Natsuki Mamiya is reminding me of the last best PR season's Taylor since the Wild Force conversion had the male to female yellow ranger conversion. The Hurricanger (correction :P) in ninja outfits is cool also. Seeing Natsuki Mamiya and Souta Megumi swap colors is cool. The Magiranger outfit. Strange how Souta Megumi becomes the green ranger and Inou Masumi becomes the yellow ranger in the cosplay.

Two Kotaro Tanakas

Image
So far it has come to my attention (and should have) that there are TWO actors who are named Kotaro Tanaka. Each one however played vastly different roles. Kotaro Tanaka of Jetman played the main hero Red Hawk- who was somewhat the "typical red ranger" like most of his predecessors. So far, it seems he has retired from the entertainment industry. Can anybody confirm who he really married because some people said he married Sayuri Uchida or that he married some other woman also named Rika Kishida but not the Jetman actress? Kotaro Tanaka of Abaranger was Abarewhite- a villain turned hero in the end. He was born on December 13, 1982 making him three years my senior. Lately he has done more action movies than Kotaro Tanaka of Jetman. Alternatively, I've seen his name spelled as Koutaro Tanaka to avoid confusion with the Jetman actor. How I wish I had their middle initials or something to avoid confusion.

Megumi Mori in Hey Brother

After doing Tokusatsu roles, Megumi Mori went for J-Drama like some Sentai cast members have. For Kamen Rider fans, they may be happy to see Tetsuo Kurata who played Kotaro Minami/Black RX be a sideline character here too. Just watch through this opening and you'll see Tetsuo Kurata beside Megumi Mori. It was shown in Japan from October 13, 1989 to March 23, 1990 (correction!). If I'm not wrong, the two main characters also acted in Toku roles too but I can't remember. :-P

Toshihide Wakamatsu in J-Drama

Image
Actually it seems Toshihide Wakamatsu may have stopped doing action packed films- after Jetman he's among a few Sentai hero characters who also played villainous parts but in his case NOT in any Tokusatsu. Here's a rather cool picture I found on the Internet. I'm glad he didn't age fast compared to some tokusatsu actors take Tetsuo Kurata of Kamen Rider Black RX for instance.

After Shinkenger It's Goseiger

Image
I managed to find this picture from http://tokuinsider.blogspot.com/ : Anyway Shinkenger is really closing to an end with this official picture of Goseiger which will be the 34th entry. What do I think? This picture almost reminds me of the good old 80s sentai Goggle V except there are two females now. As for me, well Super Sentai does have its own for better, for worse scenarios - in fact some newer sentai get better than older sentai and sometimes the opposite happens. However I can't help but think of Takumi Hirose's current view on Super Sentai too . Where is Goseiger heading? Where is Super Sentai heading? Only time will tell. Where is Goseiger heading to as Shinkenger is coming to an end?

It's December

Image
Well it's December. Hee hee. Well it's time for Christmas, a Western religious holiday that's usually more viewed as a romantic day instead in some countries with some Western influence. It's really a time when people get together for some time to relax and a time for villains to double their efforts. The same goes for New Year too. Sideline- honestly speaking I can't help but think of my bitter past when I was courting that girl that looked like Sayuri Uchida when I was in High School. It was really a bitter time for me, I really wanted to spend Christmas with her and later, she found somebody. Anyway back to my point. Strange to say, while in America the holiday of Christmas is more observed than in Japan, I wonder why there are more Christmas episodes in Sentai than there is in Power Rangers ? Maybe the Japanese want to focus on reviving old family values of staying together especially cherishing the most special moments. Also what's in store? Well pe...
