Some Nagging Questions In "Super Sentai" That Are Possibly, Will NEVER Be Answered (Spoilers)
Note: Many of these will also be caused by Real Life Plot. Others are just simply the writer's decision. Some are also writer's hiccups that get overlooked.
I. SHOWA ERA
Dai Sentai Goggle V is still Hirohisa Soda's first attempt as a head writer. So maybe we can let him slide with this mistake. Back then, I thought Taboo was some kind of alien. It's revealed that he was actually the product of genetic engineering. How did this artificial being take over Deathdark? Those are questions that probably never nagged Soda's mind.
Why Yuki Yajima left the set
I heard Yuki was difficult to work with. What was the real reason why she left? It's said she was spotted last 2013 working for a hotpot. There are many reasons such as she was fired (this was most likely debunked) to getting into a fight with the directors. I still buy the pay dispute argument -- something that happened to the late Thuy Trang. However, Yuki's character Mika Koizumi couldn't be developed as the actress abruptly left the set!
Ahames' reason for going insane in the final episode
Ahames' destructive final scene in Dengeki Sentai Changeman was brilliant. Seeing Ahames break out in anger and splitting from Maze is one magnificent scene. Ahames had manipulated everyone from the heroes to the villains. Even Bazoo commended her at one point for "being truly evil". So what's with this manipulative b*tch and why did she break out? Was Amazo destroyed long ago? The show never addressed that. Sure, we finally discovered something about Shiima or Buuba. But Ahames? She may be a popular villain but the fate of Amazo is left out of the blue. Maybe, the same goes for Giluke if whether or out Giras still exists.
Choshinsei Flashman is a great series, but the ending can be hanging
Flashman is one series that I enjoyed so much in the Soda era. It's probably for the best I never saw it as a child. However, one thing that may be as unsettled as Terra Venture in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy might be the fate of the Flashmen. Sure, the Flashmen have defeated the last of Reconstructive Empire Mess. However, their victory was short-lived and the rangers had to depart for their own version of the Lost Galaxy. I even had Planet Mirinoi in my mind with the ending!
Granted, people can explain to me that most Super Sentai series can be self-contained. The ending may be left to the imagination of people. I simply thought of it that it's left to audience's decision.
What happened to the fated duel proposed for Akira and Baraba?
Hikari Sentai Maskman is one of the most ambitious series. However, rewatching it, I realized that there was this They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot moment. Episode 30 has Baraba seeking the Imperial Underground Sword. That sword's potential got wasted as the series went by. Akira felt guilty that his actions allowed Rita Repulsa Baraba's mother Raraba, to coax Baraba into winning against Devil Dobler. So yeah, the old woman loved her son but she was also a bad woman. My feelings are complicated there!
Instead, Baraba's sword started to become less focused. In fact, the later episodes would even build something worth questioning...
Episode 48 writes on Baraba's demise. Everyone in Tube had the SAME EXACT amount of failures as the others. Come on, everyone deserved the same punishment! Baraba in episode 30 was banished. Why was Zeba always mistreating Baraba? It's pretty much Spoiler Territory. Baraba was already a walking time bomb. Baraba discovered some hints of who Zeba could be -- even before episode 30. It just got worse. Letting Baraba live could spell out Zeba's secret from getting leaked.
Okay, we've got that. But why was the plot of Akira facing off Baraba deleted, despite being hinted at? I remember getting excited to see that. Instead, Baraba had a challenge with Red Mask. Was it possible that the writers saw that they made a hiccup? Red Mask even broke the Imperial Underground Sword before finishing off Baraba. No attempt to explain away the possible hiccup in episode 29 was even made!
The REAL reason why the Bouma realignment arc happened (and why Zulten was kept around)
Kosoku Sentai Turboranger has the Bouma Realignment Arc. Most Super Sentai generals took turns in going out to the battlefield -- unlike what Himitsu Sentai Goranger and Seijuu Sentai Gingaman did with the villains. Turboranger had a brave move to finally write what Kaiju No Kami calls as the "poor personifications of wickedness". Right now, I'd like to say that I actually thought these guys weren't so bad. I thought the late Masashi Ishibashi was still good as old man Rehda. However, these guys were soon forced to fight to the deaths by their incredibly MORONIC leader Ragorn!
Why did this change happen? Some theories suggest that one could focus on the Nagare Bouma. It's possible given that Ragorn was defeated mid-season. However, it can be infuriating (maybe for some, me included) as to why Zulten was kept around. Didn't Zulten volunteer to go with Jarmin to finish off the Turborangers once and for all? It's possible that Ragorn keeps Zulten around as a scapegoat or an errand boy. Perhaps, Ragorn just kept Zulten around as a coping mechanism. However, I feel Zulten's fart joke episode was SUPER FUNNY. That may explain why Zulten was kept around -- even if the guy had the SAME AMOUNT OF FAILURES as the others!
II. HEISEI ERA

Gosei Sentai Dairanger has a very MUDDY ending... NO PUN INTENDED!
Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger might not need to explain why the Zyurangers were needed to assemble Daizyujin's body. Daizyujin was defeated by Dai Satan millions of years ago. However, Dairanger's ending can be confusing. There was no explanation why Gara of the Gorma and the real Gara shared memories -- unless one assumes it's like Piccolo and Kami in Dragon Ball Z. Come on, something like that could've already worked!
What truly made me GAG was Shadam's revelation. Was Shadam as a mud puppet a last-minute decision or what? It was probably meant to tease the viewers or force them to use their imaginations. I assumed that Shadam may have learned spirit transfer -- pretty much like Chuckie the Killer Doll. Come on, Dairanger even had an episode that referenced an otherwise ADULT MOVIE. Why was Shadam a clay doll? How did Shadam orchestrate the events? When were Kou and Akomaru, his estranged sons born?
The show never provided a clear resolution. Was this done so fans can debate and speculate?

Did Denji Sentai Megaranger actually intend to do Kenta x Chisato?
It's no secret that I ship Kenta Date x Chisato Jougasaki -- even if Chisato's crush was Kouichiro Endo. The two are just great friends but it seemed hinted in Gingaman vs. Megaranger -- which is most likely NOT CANON like most VS. Films. The series seems to show moments that the two have a working chemistry going on. That's even if Kenta has had other love interests. Chisato seems to be getting in the way (indirectly) in several moments.

Mirai Sentai Timeranger may have ended with so many nagging questions
It's no secret that I overpraise Timeranger as Yasuko Kobayashi's best work. However, some people (and I count Power Rangers fans in) may disagree. I have a feeling Power Rangers fans might be voting for either Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters or Ressha Sentai ToQGer. It's understandable since Timeranger can be a CONFUSING show to watch. In fact, I thought of the possible effects in time because Captain Ryuuya has been playing with time. Captain Ryuuya is pretty much the foreshadowing of Kamen Rider Faiz villain -- MASATO KUSAKA! Masato and Ryuuya are both douchebags. Several people find Ryuuya was true main antagonist and Pure Evil. However, I thought Ryuuya sought to restart time in a Grandfather Paradox.
I thought about what the finale could've done to the 30th century. Ryuuya saw two possible futures. One where their time ceased to exist and one where it was preserved. The more I look into Timeranger -- maybe Ryuuya's still a villain, but not Pure Evil. Ryuuya was still wanting to save the 30th Century while saving his life. Sure, Ryuuya's a bad guy but what was the deal with him anyway? I thought this kind of writing got too complex and BRUTAL. Censorship hit and Super Sentai began to soften to great degrees!
What's up with "adopting" Takeru Shiba to a mother, YOUNGER THAN HIM?!
Samurai Sentai Shinkenger was my first exposure to Yasuko Kobayashi with Super Sentai. I had fun with the season such as the silly Anime style humor. It's also that decent show with loads of eye candy compared to Power Rangers Megaforce. It was also that show where I compared Mako Shiraishi to Kimberly Hart -- A LOT! However, there will always be something worth questioning -- even if it's a superhero show! I'm fine with weapons showing up out of thin air. However, THIS...?!
What was in the mind of the writers for Kaoru Shiba to ADOPT Takeruw? Right now, I even wonder why Takeru's REAL SURNAME was never revealed. Shinkenger Takeru was raised to be a samurai since birth. We even see Shinkenger Takeru's father on-screen. Apparently, Shinkenger Takeru's father was a vassal of the Shiba Clan. Takeru was already raised to be a decoy to protect Kaoru's existence. However, Kaoru decided to ADOPT HIM. What in the world Kobayashi? This is probably even wonkier than Domon's baby with Homani in Timeranger!
Kaoru could've just given the order to finish the job. Adoption wasn't necessary. I guess the people behind Shinkenger wanted something unusual for laughs! Fortunately, we haven't seen this kind of scene again. A big mistake for an otherwise fun series IMHO.

Choriki Sentai Ohranger celebrated Goranger's 20th anniversary. Apparently, Timeranger also did. However, Ohranger was clearly its own timeline, and the crossover with Ninja Sentai Kakuranger was anything but canon. It was blatantly meant to show that most VS. Movies aren't meant to be canon. Instead, they're mostly a series of What If scenarios just like the Dragon Ball Z movies.
So far, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger has made it clear that it's a Year-Round Crossover. Ninninger was supposed to be its own continuity. It doesn't help that Sekai Senshi Jiraiya got mixed into the continuity.
_________
So far, these are the only ones that I could point out. I may have made several mistakes writing this one too.
