Ryusoulger 37: The Ultimate Tag Team And Did Chi Chi Tag Along?

I can't really say if I'm already getting disinterested with Ryusoulger or not. Maybe, I've had too much Lupato and Kyuranger hype or I'm just feeling not so good. Anyway, this episode kind of gets a bit of Dragon Ball vibes to a certain extent. Just bear with the fact that my reviews here are getting less passionate due to other stuff.

The beginning has the really suspend your disbelief. Koh finds Tyramigo apparently assaulting a child named Ichiro. I wonder is it me or do people in any superhero series tend to really lack common sense? Like is the child even bleeding? This really makes me WTF at the mother Kyoko (who happens to be acted by Rei Yoshii who was a regular cast member in Kamen Rider Drive) is thinking?

Meanwhile, it's really no surprise that both Wizeru and Gachileus hate Pricious' guts. They're now teaming up together to get rid of a greater smug foe. However, I think Over-Time made a translation error by now referring to as Pricious as a "she".

There are just times I feel Ryusoulger is already becoming the Dumb and Dumber of Super Sentai ever since Canaro came. Like, why is the show getting overfocused on them? In Kyuranger, there was the tendency Lucky gets that much attention. But at least Tsurugi brought out the best in Lucky. Right now, I'm finding these two a weakness. Canaro has a ruined date thanks to Gachileus showing up!

There's a plan to use invisible missiles. Okay, villains should STOP announcing their plans if they expect to succeed. But isn't that part of the fun? Invisible missiles hit the Ryusoulgers out of nowhere. Right now, I feel Toei has hired Michael Bay to direct this scene.

It's later figured out that Creon apparently doesn't have a heart. Pricious gives Creon the offer to be his right-hand man. Pricious seems to have new plans for Creon which I think may not be good. Right now, I think the Druidons are such a mess that I don't know what the show wants to do with them.

Meanwhile, Ichiro is in the hospital. It really must be very tough if you do nothing but study all day. I still remember Liveman's earlier episodes when Goh/Dr. Obular has been forced to do nothing but study all day. I'm also getting Chi Chi vibes from Dragon Ball Z with her obsession with Gohan becoming a great scholar even if the whole world is in danger. I do feel there's the stress of Japanese society being emphasized here if you ask me! Then the "mother" shows up who is actually Wizeru in disguise. Somehow, why can't Wizeru even hide his shadow?

Meanwhile, there's also the issue of Koh could be becoming a control freak. It tends to happen a lot especially with the leaders. There are times I think Banba's probably the most practical person in Ryusoulger. Melt may be the genius but can seldom lack common sense.

It turns out that a Menasaur's source is none other than Ichiro's mother Kyoko. Okay, I kinda wished Kamen Rider Drive were here to save her but she's not Rina Sawagami. The plan is to enlarge Gnome Menasaur to giant size.

I love the out-of-suit fight scene. So why the heroes didn't immediately morph in the presence of stronger foes is something. They do beat some foot soldiers, use some vibrations to lure the Menasaur out and then they morph. There's also some pyrotechnics here which makes me wonder do they have health insurance? Old-time incidents such as Hiroshi Fujioka's broken leg and Alison McInnis' early on injury aren't to be taken lightly. At this point, I wonder how in the world do the cast members and stuntmen agree on their action scenes?

Meanwhile, I have to admit that the mecha scenes and everything else got so boring. Yup, I purposely skipped it because of the mecha fights are somewhat getting boring. Melt does get involved but that's it. Also, Creon is really just the punching bag. Gachileus blames Creon for the failure of their mission.

Meanwhile, it's nice to see how Ichiro and Kyoko do a sincere apology for mistakes they did. Somehow, this is something that I admire so much about Japanese society. I hope this scene starts to help Japanese parents not to become too overly demanding while pursuing excellence. Yes, we need to aim high but aiming too high can be bad, right?

Meanwhile, another exposition begins. Next week would have the Temple of Beginnings. I do feel more RPG vibes but I'm really drained right now. I wonder should I even slow down?

Next week has a Menasaur born from Gachileus. The Temple of Beginnings should be an interesting chapter. Yet, what about that underwater Kishinryu? When's it coming out? Somehow, I'm really feeling less excited about Ryusoulger while feeling more excitement for Kamen Rider Zero-One. Maybe, I should've taken that break! Though I can somehow slow down if I feel the unpredictable weather is getting on to me!
