Bioman's Prince And Shuichi

Image
I guess some people have already guessed that Dr. Man was a human being but not the Big Three. Doctor Man had a hint saying to Mason he didn't design him to fail. There are hints that Doctor Man was well, a man. Here's where the clues start to drop in! Episodes 19-20 introduce us to Prince Prince calls himself the son of Doctor Man. Mason found it unbelievable because New Empire Gear was composed of androids. Mason never knew that his master was a human being. Okay, that's kinda weird since the name Doctor Man is such a dead giveaway! What do you expect when Super Sentai purposely writes plots that aren't supposed to make sense? Prince comes out of nowhere and Doctor Man says, "This my my only son Prince!" Mason gets shocked not knowing that Doctor Man was a human. Mason is amazed that Prince is such a genius and says, "Truly, he is Doctor Man's son!" The Prince story arc introduces Doctor Man's descent to madness. Prince is programmed to thi...

My Thoughts On Hakaizer's Addition And His Revealed Identity

Image
Okay, this isn't really surprising now that this blog is now hardly updated, right? As said, it's not a news blog but me giving reactions. Not to mention, Netflix has a lot of stuff worth checking out (which may be the reason why most of the the Power Rangers series were pulled off) which is more interesting than Super Sentai. Also, making episode reviews can be rather tiring than enjoyable (again). So, here's my rather sudden update after the episodes where Hakaizer was introduced up to last Sunday's wacky Halloween episode. It's the identity of Hakaizer which may or not be surprising. The first appearance of Hakaizer had him have a weapon that ONLY Zenkaiser could use. That weapon retrieved from Hakaizer was created by Isao. I thought Hakaizer was only created as a counter for the Zenkaigers. Nope, maybe, not surprisingly, Hakaizer is actually Professor Isao Goshikara, the father of the main protagonist Kaito! Is it surprising? For me, it's not really that sur...

Kyuranger 43: Twas The Fight Before Christmas

Image
It's a good thing Over-Time gave us our Christmas Gift this December 24, 2017. Yes, the year is coming to an end. It's time to think about this week's episode. I did predict a few thing rights and wrong in this episode. The invasion has just begun. We get a lot of out of suit fighting from the humanoid members of the Kyurangers. It's also fun to see Kotaro do some more out of suit fighting though we already saw Kou from Dairanger and Riki from Ohranger do so. Meanwhile, there's a bit of teasing of what could be Don Armage's true form. I don't know if I should commend Tsurugi or call him an idiot for doing what he did. He enters right into the room and meets with Don Armage. Don Armage reveals his ultimate plan to restart the Universe in his image. I was right in that area thinking about his master plan. Also, Don Armage reveals what could be his true form and it looks like some kind of bird? Just who is he? Here's a bit of fight scene...

Other Sentai Warriors Who Had Issues With Their Fathers

Image
After seeing this week's Zyuohger where Yamato finally meets his estranged father face to face, I was inspired to write this post. Here are a couple of Super Sentai warriors who had issues with their fathers. Let's take a look at them from past to present. Warning! Spoilers ahead!

A Tribute to Super Sentai Grandmothers

Image
As a person who grew up close to my grandmother, I would like to pay tribute to these grandmothers too... Grandma Tendo Ryu's grandmother was a lively, active old woman who you'd say despite her aging, she moves like as if she's not aged a day past 50 despite all that white hair. Why? Well I mean first she mistakenly gave a judo throw at her grandson Ryu or how she actually intervened with Mirror Jigen with her own mirror. Okay I just had it that she was concerned that she won't last long so she had to pass Ryu to a marriage interview. Whether or not she died already after the fall of Vyram is left a mystery, I wish she made an appearance in the epilogue! Grandma Ooshi She may just be your typical grandmother but I would give tribute to her, as she actually did help the Jetmen understand Raita's fears of of the Tomato King. Rin of the Heavenly Star She became a grandmother in Dairanger's 50 years after epilogue. Her granddaughter is an exac...

My Top Five Sentai Ally Deaths

Image
In Super Sentai, there are also some allies that I considered left a very powerful death which was more than just a noble sacrifice- that it really left so much of drama in it.  I did read Fantasy Leader's fics for top three Sentai deaths and I personally have included them here... for Sentai allies... but here's my top FIVE: 5.) Master Kaku- I felt his death in Dairanger was quite powerful for allies' deaths.  He didn't want the Dairangers to know of his true origins that he was a former Gorma and all.  So what he did was to try and fight the reincarnated Shaddam for the position of Gorma.  He tried all he can to prevent Daijinryu from causing any interference with his plan to bring Gorma to a peaceful reign.  However despite all his efforts, Shaddam killed him and his death really crushed the Dairangers.  He should have told them the truth about his plan! 4.) Rei and Kanna- Fantasy Leader listed them as a couple and I will list them as a couple to...

A Tribute To Super Sentai Mothers

Image
Here are some of the devoted mothers and some bad ones too of Super Sentai. So we know they're mothers but let's see if they're good ones or bad ones. Setsuko Kageyama Dr. Man's wife was forced to abandon her son Shuichi to the Nakayama family. It was because of her estranged husband's plans for world domination that forced her to do it. She came out of hiding somewhere in between the introduction of Prince and when the letter was given to Shuichi revealing everything the Biomen needed to know about Dr. Man himself.  Akira's mother Akira grew up in a single parent home in Maskman. She was only featured in a few flashbacks. Akira hopes to be reunited with her someday.

Super Sentai Rangers' Relatives

Image
The fact is Super Sentai has had its own list of relatives as the series went through. NOT in this list are from Fiveman, Gogo V and Magiranger because they're sibling sentai and the rest of these are non-sibling Sentai. Sorry no pictures for everyone until further notice so only that specific character will be put. Like we have: Bioman: Red One had a missing father who showed up in episode 43-44 during the Satan Megas episode. As the series ended, he finally finds out that the scientist is his father. His father had an important role being the rival of Dr. Man in the area of robotics as his views were for good and the other was for evil, an idea that probably inspired the creation of the Rockman characters Dr. Light and Dr. Wily as well as Dr. Kubota vs. Dr. Hinelar in their friendship gone bad. In episode 48, he was captured by his long-time rival Dr. Man and he was revealed to be a cyborg. In episode 49, he reveals his past with Dr. Man to his son. He met his last in e...
