After both Rita and Kaguragi discover their powers - the next powers are practically not surprising. In the case of Himeno, she's a doctor and she's got to wield the power of DEATH itself. Yes, I'm really thinking of the irony of the powers. Are these powers really meant to show the necessity of destruction to create new stuff? I kinda like how this episode doesn't use Himeno as eye candy and makes one think.  Himeno tries to wield the power of death against against the Grim Reaper style character, Grodie. Grodie is really incredibly creepy. I guess I'll forever name it a weak point for the Jesters that only Grodie has a human disguise. Himeno strokes Grodie only to find out it doesn't work. I think the purple crystals seem to be nothing more than forced censorship. Fortunately, it does get beautifully woven into the plot.   Some time ago, I tackled the rumor that Power Rangers SPD was supposedly more popular than Tokosu Sentai Dekaranger . As Dekarangers turns 20 - I really feel I want to rant on this. Super Sentai was practically overshadowed in the West due to language and cultural barriers. The solution Toei had to cross the cultural barrier is Power Rangers . With Dekaranger having been the first fully fan-subbed (thanks to the TV-Nihon fansub group)  Super Sentai - open-minded Power Rangers fans had the biggest chance to check out what couldn't make it past American censors or work for the majority of the Western market. It may be considered that entirely new experience for them. Dekaranger and SPD had some differences in characterization. What I always keep in mind is that Power Rangers is geared mainly for the Western audience. There are some cultural differences here and there. Jack Landors is pretty much laid back and had an episode he skipped the obstacle course before he did it at the end

  I've speculated on the different preferences of Power Rangers fans who check out the source material. Some may actually prefer anything after Mirai Sentai Timeranger  better. Some Power Rangers fans are checking out what's called the pre-Zyuranger era. It can be a challenge since Power Rangers was born in the 199. checking out anything 1970s-1980s means adjusting to different trends. Where does Chodenshi Bioman fit it?  Bioman was also considered for Power Rangers and a failed pilot was created I guess Toei and Saban had their timing wrong. Before that, there was the late Stan Lee. 1978 became the time when Toei actually made their own Spider-Man with Marvel's permission. Lee even allowed his voice to be used in the eye-catch . One can wonder how much Toei paid for that. Surprised or not? It seems King-Ohger's ratings are hitting the roof and we've got not ONE but TWO movies . Sure, King-Ohger has very little MOTW action involved and it's been more like a J-Drama. The way King-Ohger unfolds seems like doing Kamen Rider Saber right. I could remember how Saber got flak early on and somehow recovered. King-Ohger is already in the mid-40s. I looked at the timetable. The show premiered on March 5, 2023. Now, it's late January 2024 and February 2024 will be around any time soon. There's also the news for two King-Ohger movies namely King-Ohger vs. Donbrothers (which is expected) and maybe not surprisingly, King-Ohger vs. Kyoryuger . There will be theatrical releases on April 26, 2024, at the Shinjuku Wald 9. Now, for the topic, I really am getting mentally prepared for the inevitable finale. The unusual formula and deviations of the show kept me engaged!  The Sextet Alliance (or I prefer to call it, the Hexagon Alliance) is there. The show being in the 40s - it's really time to gear up for the finale any time soon! Good thing that I'm mentally prepared for the finale. Maybe, my inner child would throw a tantrum of sorts. The cast already finished its filming. This episode starts to set things up for getting rid of the Five Jesters. Ir really feel the lack of MOTW action in the second half might be a letdown. It might be Toei trying to experiment with something new. They did it with Kamen Rider so why not Super Sentai ? Is it working like a charm? I like the experiment in some way. However, I think it should be one monster every two weeks if ever. Hopefully, Boomboonger will have more monsters.  The beginning has Racules in a cage.
