Maskman has a lot of great plot elements in it... although Takeru does seem to hog most attention considering the fact he has two major rivals namely Igam and Kiros.  While his rivalry with Igam was based on honor killing, Kiros was one dishonorable bastard and here's what's the big deal about them.  This guy's rivalry with Takeru was something that just got from bad to worse for the hero until its conclusion. Where do I start?  It's revealed in episode 27 where the villain first appears, Kiros is in love with Princess Ial and Takeru has NO IDEA that Mio is actually Princess Ial.  Kiros has a habit of collecting treasures but somehow, he decided he must have Ial because he finds her extraordinarily gorgeous (which may explain why he hasn't flirted with other girls).  Kiros though working independently, requests Zeba that if he can defeat the Maskmen, he will have Princess Ial.  Which becomes a real plot driver towads the next episode.   In...

Compared to the rather comedic rivalry of Ryuon and Gaja , this one is no laughing matter.  As we know it, Radiguet just NEVER will allow anybody to rule over him and he hates having somebody rule over him.  He's one cruel sadist with a self-righteous outlook in life (he believes he has the right to eradicate everyone for being bastards when in fact, he is a real bastard) and in fact, everything about this guy is clear to the point that Radiguet will never tolerate competition. Obviously while Tranza was still Tran, Radiguet had frequently bullied him or mistreated him.  Tran wanted revenge and in a matter of hours or so, in Jetman episode 36 at the end of it he accelerated his growth to become Emperor Tranza.  I have to admit that Tranza was one incredibly bad braggart with real subtle skills.  So yeah, he was getting his revenge on Radiguet for bullying him without even being aware that Radiguet may sooner or later beat him out of insanity.  His first...

Here's a list of rivalries in Super Sentai I feel like were very intense, not just merely awesome battles but there's an ongoing development between them and it's more than personal. Here are they in no particular order as I choose it, some of you will normally disagree with my choices but that's okay and yeah, I might remove some or add some sooner or later. But for now, here's the list: Hokuto Dan/Dyna Red vs. Prince Megiddo The two fought each other at random, however Dyna Red caused Prince Megiddo to lose one tail early on. Eventually the grudge was carried over especially when Megiddo was banished by his own father for failure. Hiryu Tsurugi/Change Dragon vs. Bubba Thet wo had a rather intense rivalry which Bubba saw Hiryu as somebody he had to beat. It gets more intense when he was defecting from Gozma and wanting to die a warrior's death than die at the hands of his former employers, he challenged Change Dragon to a final battle which inevitabl...
