As always, NEVER expect me to do episode reviews. I've probably exhausted myself with Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger . However, I'll react to updates when I feel like it. It's because blogging is only a sideline hustle! Masahiro Kumade (whose name is meaningful, as Kuma means "bear," which I learned from Tekken ) is the anti-hero. Sure, I may have taken a liking to Kinjiro Takehara (because I have the silly wish of becoming a child again, at least until No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger ends). However, I could relate to Ryugi Bakugami in another way. Ryugi's devotion to Lord Tegasword (apparently the kami-sama of this continuity) helps me get over my wish to become a child again until Gozyuger ends. So my favorite now is Ryugi!  Masahiro Kumade feels like Sun Wukong in some way. The statement, "There's God, there's Buddha, and then there's the great Kumade! Fake Defector is a common trope in superhero shows. Super Sentai did a couple of Fake Defectors . However, Ishiro Meita aka Shashiro pulls what may have been long overdue. Shashiro's the resident spy. I almost feel like playing the Bass Nova from Austin Powers . Shashiro is also part of the ISA as well. This is pretty much a double-agent plot. To deceive your enemies -- you must first deceive your friends! This has to be the longest fake defection scene in Super Sentai . Most Fake Defectors are usually done to undo the absurd villain plot of the week. This one is so convincing that you'd think Shashiro betrayed them. However, Shashiro's such an expert marksman that he's fired WELL-TIMED shots at his allies. What's with the exaggerated use of guns here? Aya Odagiri in Chojin Sentai Jetman once used a gunshot to get Ryu Tendo back on track.   Here's an artwork by Nick Peppermint . I can't match Nick's drawing skills. Snake-themed characters are often evil. Japanese entertainment has inspiration from American entertainment. Toei might be one of the most notorious for doing so. Toei is no exception to the rule. Toei would use snake-themed monsters every now and then. Kamen Rider started using snake-themed monsters. Super Sentai and Metal Hero followed suit too. It's expected given the amount of popular culture Toei gets into their shows! This week's Boonboomger gives an explosive revelation. Yes, it's that Genba is actually a cat-like alien from the planet Bureki. Was this a sudden twist or not? Given how superhero shows tend to operate -- it may or it may not. Super Sentai copies tropes here and there so I'm not too surprised. Was this an attempt to add layers or what? Genba has a grudge against Disrace who harmed the planet Bureki -- before the show even began. I realized that some rangers are uniquely non-human in a team of humans. Sure, Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger had four members who were aliens and only two were humans. Here, I'm talking about non-human rangers in a team of humans.   It's too obvious that I decided to quit doing episode reviews because I'm watching shows at irregular paces. Avatar Sentai Donbrothers is already no exemption to that rule. Right now, I even feel Kamen Rider Geats has become somewhat more enjoyable version of Squid Game (which I dropped due to how annoying the "hero" is). I even feel that Geats may become more enjoyable (hopefully), especially with how Neon Kurama may become a more fleshed-out version of Sakura Nishihori from Gougou Sentai Boukenger . Now, it's time a new concept in Super Sentai (but not so new to Kamen Rider ) where an ally or team member's secret identity is unknown. So, I thought it's kinda weird really how the Donbrothers team was gathered. Haruka Kito still questioned Don Momotaro's real identity. Okay I'm not the first one to make an entry like this but I want to write it my own way. These possible pairings IMO for me are: Ryunosuke Ikenami- He's been a true and loyal friend to every Shinkenger including Kaoru so no problem even if he can get annoying at times but he's FUNNY. It seems there was a possible chemistry between them. It will still exist as a samurai to samurai marriage. The other would be Genta Umemori. In Shinkenger, the two had a good partnership for a short time but that doesn't make them a couple. I would have voted for this originally but I think Ryunosuke would be a better husband for Kaoru Shiba. He can be quite idiotic. If he marries Kaoru, well they might migrate to France or any country outside Japan. Takeru would be scared to death with this! Here are the extra rangers meant to add up the team members to five: Soukichi Banba/Big One- In a team of four rangers, he became the fifth and their leader. He reappeared in Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai even if JAKQ had NO giant robot yet. Junichi Aikawa/Green Rhino and Tetsuya Yano/Black Bison- They were extra rangers that came in together to create the Liveman team from three rangers to five rangers. The two were motivated by their desire for revenge only to discover that their real reason to fight was justice. The Gouraiger siblings Ikkou Kasumi and Isshu Kasumi functioned as two additional members. They were the first maroon and navy blue rangers. With a twist, these two started off as enemies and became friends in contrast to their Liveman equivalents. Shishou apparently had a relationship with Nanami. Asuka of Dino Earth/Abare Black- He's the fourth member of the Abarangers and from Dino Earth. I find his love story with Mahoro to be an interesting theme. He lat...

The fact is Sentai has its own list of womanizers who are: Shou Hayate/Change Pegasus- He entered into the military hoping to find girls in the process. Kenta/Black Mask- He is the one with the most women in the series. He had Miyuki in episode 7, Yui in episode 11, Yoko in episode 13 and Seira (who is actually a monster) in episode 26. I kind of liked his tandem with Yui the best. Youhei Hama/Blue Turbo- He chases around girls in the campus, maybe the source of his low grades?

So I think it's time I'll do some analysis on the Shinkenger team: Takeru Shiba/Shinken Red- As a red ranger, I kind of find it something that he's also named Takeru after Red Mask. What of his personality? He can appear to be quite isolated, can be such a hothead and turns out to be a really nice guy like Takeru in Maskman was. He also has a stupid secret which got the others to laugh when it was discovered though his was less embarrassing compared to Red Mask's. He also has a fan-pairing with the pink ranger Mako Shiraishi like Takeru has with Momoko/Pink Mask. He is also the type that despite the fact that they discovered he was nothing more than a decoy for the true leader, he has friends who truly care for him. Relation to fire: Takeru Shiba has a very fiery personality, a nasty temper at times and like fire, he is quite destructive.
