I'm more or less "caught up" with Avatar Sentai Donbrothers.  I've been the watching the series in very irregulat paces these days. Then again I no longer plan to do episode reviews as blogging is JUST A HOBBY. I realized a few things as 2022 ends. Toei Ltd. did hit the market big in 1993. I did write a post talking about that during Power Rangers' silver anniversary and the same year when Dimensions in Danger kicked in. This week has a very weird side plot where Haruka Kito takes driving lessons. Yup, her auntie who she lives with decided to enroll her to take driving lessons ASAP! Inoue is also known to revisit old scripts AND add a twist. Inoue was known to have written the X-1 Mask episode in  Hikari Sentai Maskman . It was a one-parter that provided a template for two characters - Burai and Gai Yuki. Though, Inoue didn't do much in  Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger . Later,  Inoue had two episodes in  Mirai Sentai Timeranger . Inoue juggled in between  Timeran...

After watching Carranger, I thought that the show is really poking fun at many things as possible. I don't know if you agree with me but here goes my own list: 1.) Super Sentai villains and their habit of making convoluted and/or unbelievable schemes As much as I really love to point out and nitpick that the Bowzock are stupid but again, I usually don't expect Sentai villains to come out with something intelligent. I always thought that Super Sentai tends to explore the science of stupidity or how villains usually fail to come up with practical solutions. Carranger pokes fun at that idea with how the Bowzock carry on with their plans. Their mission is to blow up the Earth (which they keep calling Earf) but they never come up with anything intelligent. The plan goes from simply jumbling numbers, inflating stuff or creating an orchestra of cars... one has to realize they could have just fired a missile on Earth then the job is done! I can't stop laughing or just critici...

Super Sentai humor and Power Rangers humor is usually based on possible cultural differences , I felt like the need to understand them.  American humor tends to on repeated stupidity and humiliation like Rita Repulsa keeps getting headaches almost every episode.  Japanese humor tends to be based on genuine mistakes causing embarrassment which tend not to be overly done (ex. Bandora's headaches are very seldom done).  Now it's time to take a look at how humor is carried out between the two genres and at the same time, I'd consider this an analysis on how I should write humor. So okay I'm aware of the 199 pairing challenge, I'm not taking it but I'll do some rather crazy far-fetched fan pairing for some humor (that is it's pairing not within each entry but a crossover pairing)... or not.  Some of you do hate fan pairing so if you hate, avert thine eyes from this entry! Since I highly doubt it Ryou and Lin got married as evidenced by the finale nor will I ever buy the assumption she married Kou (come on having a picture of him DOES NOT mean she married him).  Now my first far fetched pairing is that Takeru was probably broken hearted and ran into Lin, they fell in love and later got married and later in their lives had a granddaughter who looks line Lin.  Aura power! Another would be Kazu and Remi.  Well it's just my wild imagination since both are masters of drunken fists so they might make a good pair too. Kou and Ran.  Just another completely far-fetched pairing.  Again, Kou would already be an adult by the time of Gek...

Well I'd like to do some evaluation for what I'd call as Sentai's most crazy moments.  Here are they: Kaoru Shiba's adoption of Takeru.  Well she's a 15 year old adopting her shadow warrior as her son?  I rolled down the floor watching that scene! Gai Ikari can't see Gai Yuki.  While other normal humans like Ryu Tendo could see ghosts, Gai Ikari couldn't see Gai Yuki.  He did see Burai, Mikoto and Naoto and yet why not Gai Yuki?  I guess Gai Ikari likes natto and Gai Yuki doesn't... which could be heavy. The marriage of Jerashid to Noboyuki's mother.  It's just too sudden.  Well there have been some interracial human dating in Super Sentai but the marriage was just too fast. :P Yatsudenwani as CEO of Dino Curry.  That is WAY FUNNIER than Dryer Jigen (who I imagine is now the CEO of a hair salon franchise) getting a job!  How in the world is he now the CEO of Dino Curry he's underaged? Kyousuke and Zonette in their relat...

Well this is just an idea that Chris X gave me from this blog entry based on a Zyuranger pairing talk .  Now it's time to explore what could get SUPER CRACK!  For all Power Rangers fans who are new to the original work of Super Sentai and enjoying it, beware NEVER to do these pairings! Here they are and laugh all you want and I wish you can all comment why these pairings will NEVER work: The first to think of is Burai x Mei which is totally crack.  While Tommy and Kimberly definitely can work it out in MMPR but these two are NOT Tommy and Kimberly in any way.  Tommy is definitely not a substitute for Burai and Mei is definitely different from Kimberly so this really is a NO-NO in Zyuranger.  Chris X's statement is TOTALLY right- this is one that if you want to get crack , try pairing them but it will NEVER WORK as there is zero basis, no chemistry.  Mei can work out with Geki but definitely not Burai plus his time was short anyway to get lovey dovey ...

Well we had our list of bad cooks, now it's time to see those who can serve food really well.  They are: Raita Ooshi in Jetman showed he could really cook. Kaori Rokumeikan-Tendo- Despite the fact she's a rich girl, she can COOK.  Maybe her butler taught her how to cook. Ryou- He's the best gyoza cook now in Japan as of present. Shouhei Yokkaichi- He makes good ramen and gyoza. Yuusaku Hayakawa- He was able to show his cooking abilities in Megaranger episode 29. Gouki- He is Gingaman's cook. Domon- He is a master in making Soba. Genta Umemori- He has magical fingers.  He even made delicious curry rice himself. Joe Gibken- It's obvious he's a good cook from the start.  Love that time he and Ahim had. Don Dogoier- He's the chef of the Gokai Galleon. Gai Ikari- He later becomes another cook aboard the Gokai Galleon.  He and Genta should open a shop sometime. So I hope everybody has a happy new year!

Well here's a list of cooks you'd like to hire to make a very horrible new year party... Be afraid, be very, very afraid... because we present...   Juri Nijou/Ohyellow, Yuuri/Time Pink (she traveled from the future to the present), Yukito Sanjyou/Abare Blue and Mako Shiraishi/Shinken Pink Yukito will say, "Don't worry girls, we're the greatest." and start cooking one bad dish after the other. With one bad cook to another cooperating with each other, looks like fury has never been unleashed before. The menu has chocolate coated steak, garlic coated coconut, vegetables cooked in candy syrup, strawberry flavored tofu... and all you can think!  Comment on what awful dishes you can think was served! Crazy!  Well it's time.  Now what do we expect for the taste?!  Here's a few critics!  Not really... here we GO and see our "satisfied guests"! "What have I just eaten? I think I need my stomach pills to help me to be at ease!...
