I remembered some time ago where I wrote an entry bashing Power Rangers ' short feature episode "Dimensions in Danger" . However, there's yet another movie by Toei Ltd. that I'd say reminds me I've got a LONG way to learn about better storytelling - it's the first  Super Hero Taisen   movie . I gave some painful jabs on "Dimensions in Danger" but it doesn't mean I have completely forgotten why I still hate the first  Super Hero Taisen  movie like there's no tomorrow. The whole movie was so full of annoying sob stories and a bigger mess. I can understand if I can write really bad stories because I'm no story writer. However, Toei has producers and writers to guide it so why did it become the mess it was? At least, the didn't hire me to write the script or they'd go bankrupt with the special effects! I'll admit I've become rather dispassionate about my latest Ryusoulger posts (as the quality IS dropping really bad) so maybe, just maybe, I should just post them when I feel passionate again. Right now, I feel this week's episode isn't that well-wrapped but it has a few interesting points with the trials done - Dragon Quest style! I'm amazed at how Banba and Towa both show off their out-of-suit fights. IMHO, one of the best things that make a superhero show, super, is the main cast doing its stunts while the suit double later takes over for harder parts. I kind of feel Banba and Towa are my favorite heroes in the show. Meanwhile, the others are advised by Ryusoul Elder to take the trials. A new combination of land, sea, and air would be very dangerous. Mosa Rex hasn't been willing to combine with Tyramigo and Dimetrodon because of such destructive power. It's no secret that I think that Super Sentai and Kamen Rider aren't created equally. Back then, I didn't really think too much of Kamen Rider because I usually preferred group superhero shows. It's like I prefer X-Men over Spiderman. In the 90s, I did like both Saban's Marvel adaptation of X-Men and Spiderman but the former for me was more appealing. I like the Spiderman animated series but never as much as the X-Men. It seems to be like that with my past liking of Kamen Rider. Things do happen a lot and I'd dare admit that my preferences change. It's like how I used to like Power Rangers in the early 2000s but started disliking it (at a personal level) the more I watched the Super Sentai counterparts. One's a serving of sushi (Super Sentai) and the other is a serving of gyoza (Kamen Rider) or one can consider them as two different types of ramen. A lot changed for me since Gokaiger ended. Well, it's time for another Ryusoulger review. A space dragon arrives! The people handling the show probably didn't want dinosaurs to start with. This week's episode seems to support my theory that Ryusoulger was supposed to be dragon-based.  Is it me or is the Druidon plot now disorganized? I hope I'm not copying opinions as of late. A new Druidon general named Pricious arrives. The show doesn't seem to address his or her gender yet. I'd assume Pricious is female for the reason the character is voiced by ROMI PARK. Do you remember the voice and human form of Dayu in Shinkenger ten years back? Pricious arrives and causes mayhem. The villain seems to be male even while voiced by a female dubber. Is it me or is th Druidon plot really messed up? I have to admit that maybe, just maybe, I'm having too much of a hangover from Kyuranger, Lupinranger vs. Patranger, and maybe I think Kamen Rider Zero-One can be a good start . Now, it's time for a bit of transition for Ryusoulger which for me can either mean something good or something bad can happen for the series. Uden arrives but doesn't speak a word. There's an air of nervousness here. What I find funny in this scene is Creon getting ragdolled after last week's incident .  Gachileus is way too nervous at the presence of Uden. Meanwhile, the Ryusoulgers are now having a game of ping pong. I love the references made to a certain Chinese athlete here. Is it me or is Disney ruining everything? Disney bought Power Rangers and most of the series are a downhill - especially with the Kalish era! Disney got Marvel and Marvel got worse. Heck, I wish Warner Bros. will get Marvel and reboot it entirely! Disney got Star Wars and the new canon just sucks! Star Wars hasn't been a bit pleasing since Episode VII: The Force Awakens and now we're getting a desperate " Palpatine please bail us out! " with Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. I hear some people tend to whine about how Kyuranger can be idiotic. I may be reading the blog Them's Fightin' Words but I heavily disagree with Shogo's views on Kyuranger and maybe Lupinranger vs. Patranger. But at least, he's being respectable with my opinions on certain shows! I would agree Lucky is an idiot. Just because I had been a longtime viewer of Super Sentai doesn't mean I won't be pointing out its weaknesses. I would want to think I'm showing tough love. I remembered writing a crazy rant about Power Rangers becoming beautifully pointless . Now, it's time for another crazy rant for the sake of a crazy rant from me. Just remember this is just my opinion, okay? How I felt Ninninger and Zyuohger were beautifully pointless I don't want to deny that my preferences with both old and new shifts a lot and I mean a LOT. Sometimes, the best is found in the old and sometimes the best is found in the new. So I don't care only if something is old school or new school. What I care about is if you can give me a good story. Sadly, I think these two seasons eventually start to sour up in my mind. The first one has to be Ninninger. I decided to check it out for myself. The real problem can be linked more to Kento Shimoyama and maybe Naomi Takebe. Takebe's n

Right now, I do have mixed feelings towards Ryusoulger. I tend to be negative towards newer Super Sentai which I feel "lack spirit" (insert Matoi's face) over it. Just because I don't like something new doesn't mean I'm against change - the problem is all about the quality that comes out. I even had my extreme negativity in the Zyuohger vs. Ninninger crossover when a child said, "The history of Super Sentai - it's over!" Fortunately, it wasn't true though Super Sentai's lifespan is still uncertain. Sooner or later, new stuff will be born and who knows, maybe Toei will come up with something to even replace the franchise. I was thinking about Ryusoulger right now. I do remember the excitement that I had with the title KishinRYU Sentai RYUsoulger which Ryu means dragon. I was already expecting knights and dragons. Instead, we got knights and dinosaurs. Toei has had a love affair with dinosaurs since Zyuranger, Abaranger, and Kyoryuger.
