Kiramager vs. Ryuosoulger was a film that I felt was impossible when the Legacy Virus hit through last 2020. Who can forget when Kiramager and Kamen Rider Zero-One  entered the Legacy Virus hiatus ? Now, I decided to check out this movie and if it was worth it. Sure, I admit now that I can't rewatch Ryusoulger any longer (well, Abaranger IMHO will always be the best Dinosaur Sentai). However, I checked this show out for Kiramager which was a fun, improved version of ToQGer  IMHO. The movie had one weird plot of a movie that could destroy the world. Yodonna's latest scheme is to create a movie and she's trapped most of the Ryusoulgers in it. What's amusing to see is that people get caught in this haunted theater house. It seems to be a watered-down version of a haunted theater house in some horror flicks. Granted, Yodonheim IS horror-themed even if the guys don't really have much nightmare fuel - maybe except for Emperor Yodon. Yodonna can be scary though. It does ge...

I was thinking about the past few announcements that there will be a movie for Kiramager, another movie for Ryuosoulger, AND the intro movie for Zenkaiger. I thought that Toei Ltd. wasn't pushing through with a crossover with Kiramager and Ryusoulger. Turns out that April 29, 2021, will have a limited cinematic release and a DVD to follow. Yup, I got that news from reading UkiyaSeed's blog . Now for photographic evidence from Dengeki Hobby Web  that the movie is indeed going to take place... and Yodonna seems to be acting as a movie director in this crossover film. I almost feel like thinking about Shinkenger's OVA which was a crazy movie studio set. It would be very interesting to see the movie production go on. What interests me is to see that sword fight between Bamba and Shiguru. It's also quite funny to see Canalo (yes him) finally attempt to flirt with Yodonna to his disaster. I just want to see how Canalo will once again cause trouble to himself or how Sena, Sayo...

Just thinking about the recent trademark Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger means Super Sentai will celebrate its 45th anniversary. I remembered a couple of times I actually questioned if Super Sentai can still last that long when Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger became the 35th and when Gougou Sentai Boukenger became the 30th. I even thought that Doubotsu Sentai Zyuohger could be the last. Heck, the movie Doubotsu Sentai Zyuohger vs. Shuriken Sentai Ninninger really had the phrase, "The history of Sentai - it's over!" line! Zyuohger was suffering from really low ratings. Fortunately, we had two beautifully inventive series  Ucchu Sentai Kyuranger and Kaito Sentai Lupinranger vs Keisatsu Sentai Patranger to follow up two years of beautifully pointless entries . Last year, Kishinryu Sentai Ryusoulger really WENT BACK TO DINOSAURS - which caused me to question Toei's love affair with dinosaurs . It's really something when a Super Sentai I like gets paired up with a Super Sentai season (or any show) that I dislike. It's happened before such as my dislike for Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger while I like  Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters or when Samurai Sentai Shinkenger got a team-up with two shows I really dislike namely  Kamen Rider Decade and Tensou Sentai Goseiger . Well, at least Goseiger got vindicated because Power Rangers Megaforce really shot itself at the foot big time! I also felt relaly awkward when Kamen Rider Drive had a crossover with Shuriken Sentai Ninninger - a show that only got "better" because Power Rangers Ninja Steel was even a bigger mess.  The same can be said for this tongue twister of a special Kishinryu Sentai Ryusoulger vs. Kaito Sentai Lupinranger vs. Keisatsu Sentai Patranger . I feel Ryusoulger is really a low-tier Super Sentai (sorry really) compared to Lupinranger vs. Patranger which for me was a very daring direction. The crossover movie...

Well, it's time for what I'd call an unenthusiastic wrap-up and review of Ryusoulger's last three episodes. Am I suffering Super Sentai taste fatigue for the nth time? Was my viewing for other shows on Netflix getting in the way? Is Ryusoulger, well, #RyusouBoring? Can't really say but I'd like to share my final thoughts. If you liked the finale then fine - I respect that! Let's just be respectful, okay?  So it turns out that Wizeru is still alive and later, we'd discover that Pricious is still alive (but heavily injured) in the finale too. The Druidons aren't even well-established once you think about it. Then there's some random revelations which I think is well, random. At this point, I feel like that while Kamen Rider Zero-One is indeed pleasing me - the same can't be said for Ryusoulger in the long run. So, it turns out that Eras herself is the progenitor of BOTH the Druidons and the Ryusoul Tribe. She goes to create the Druidons...

Well, Ryusoulger will have three more episodes to go, right? This week features more of Eras' history. So, what's really going on? It does focus on getting the heart from Pricious back. So, what's next? So, it turns out that Master Black was pretending to be Saden. I really find the flashback to be kind of weird with how Saden was slain by an UNMORPHED Master Black. Master Black would later infiltrate but his heart was taken by Pricious. He lead the Ryusoulgers out of some shortcut - something Pricious would later discover later. So how do you call upon Setoh's spirit possessing Naohisa within Ryusoulger's lore? Master Black wants to hear more of the past. However, trying to access Setoh is just really tough. Apparently, Setoh only appears when the situation is really in need of it. More lore is revealed that the past and sealing away Eras. So, it turns out that the Kishinryu also allowed themselves to be sealed. However, Eras is now getting more power. ...

Well, just hearing the news that Power Rangers Beast Morphers will resume airing this February 22, 2020 triggers my mind. You had last year which ended with two "specials" which didn't really do much. I mean, episode 20 was supposed to be where plot material was last seen, right? There was already the suspense that something could be wrong with Devon's father. Then the hiatus happened. There has been NO NEW EPISODE for the whole of January up to this present day. It's no secret that the Power Rangers franchise is now stuck with a lot of backlogs. It's due to Nickelodeon's rather stupid scheduling since Power Rangers Samurai . The same really stupid formula applied to Power Rangers Megaforce (better renamed Megafart, Megafarce, Megafail) up to Power Rangers Ninja Steel (which ended up inadvertently vindicating Shuriken Sentai Ninninger by being an even bigger mess) which resulted in what I'd call, "Go go Power Rangers backlog!" Just imagin...

Ryusoulger does want to be more RPG-ish? Then again, isn't the test of bonds a very recurring trope in team superheroes? X-Men, Avengers, Justice League, and what makes Super Sentai any different, right? This episode starts with a bit of an opener. The whole episode is preparing us for the finale. Though I may have a few whacked up predictions. One of them I was afraid to raise up but it did happen... so I'll raise it now! Okay, I have to admit that while Oto did a mistake but you have to consider the fact she's no D.W. from the Hey Arthur TV series. She even apologizes for her mistakes and she had good intentions in following them. The scene presents a dynamic of suitless fighting, Oto getting rescued, and somehow there's something about Saden right now! So why is that Eras has not spoken until now? Eras then presents Yabasword. Is it me or does Yabasword look like a clear mutilation of Kamen Rider Gaim? Did they decide to get ideas from Kamen Rider Zi-O w...

Well, I don't know what to say right now. What's obvious is that the quality of my Ryusoulger posts have been going down - no questions asked. At this point, a new villain namely the Big Bad of the series called Eras is introduced as the Druidons' mother. I wish she will gain some fearsome monster form rather than just stay the core that she is. Otherwise, I'd love to raise my disappointments with how the Creation King from Kamen Rider Black was just a disembodied heart! Eras is now seen in the present day. She reveals her power that she would give birth to Druidons. Recently, we do have Pricious who witnesses the birth of her new "sibling" known as Gunjoji. Personally, I wish Eras' design were scarier than that. Censorship issues anyone? Banba does some martial arts fanservice for the audience. It's amazing to see actor Tatsuya Kishida really do these impressive fight scenes himself. Is he the strongest cast member? There's an interest...
