Well, here's a Christmas Gift that came and Toei Ltd. has revealed King-Ohger. Okay, I usually rant about an upcoming series when there's a cast reveal already. In my case, I'm just getting a Killer Bored so I'd like to rant on this initial update but no cast yet. I got the news from UkiyaSeed and this is what I've got. Santa Claus: Look kid, there's no Super Sentai timeline, okay? I guess the debate will NEVER end whether or not there's a Super Sentai timeline, right ? Well, maybe. This week's Donbrothers' episode does give us another view of Santa Claus. Interestingly, Ichiro Mizuki died on December 6 which is the traditional feast day of Saint Nicholas aka the real Santa Claus. Here, we're talking about a fictionalized non-existent Santa Claus who either lives at the North Pole or in some strange dimension. The portrayal of the jolly old man in a right red suit really differs. I even believe Santa Claus isn't established to be real in other Super Sentai seasons.  Let's take a look at how Santa Claus gets portrayed all too differently...   The recent death of Ichiro Mizuki at 74 just came today. It turns out he died on December 6, 2022. The agency only announced it presumably out of respect for his family and friends. Right now, I just feel like I want to think about Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters and the short role he played. Also, he was Dr. Ben in Dimension Warrior Spielban . I couldn't help but remember the death of his character, Saburo Hazuki, who might be a tribute to the pen name, Saburo Yatsude.  Missions 35-36 are among the few times when Kento Shimoyama did a good job. Sure, I'll forever associate Shimoyama with the bad job he did with Shuriken Sentai Ninninger . Yeah, Ninninger is forever ONLY SLIGHTLY BETTER than that junk called Power Rangers Ninja Steel. Ninninger had its Ranger History lessons since it was the 40th birthday of Himitsu Sentai Goranger . I still think that Shimoyama did manage to do Kamen Rider Zi-O better than Kamen Rider Decade . I'm more or less "caught up" with Avatar Sentai Donbrothers.  I've been the watching the series in very irregulat paces these days. Then again I no longer plan to do episode reviews as blogging is JUST A HOBBY. I realized a few things as 2022 ends. Toei Ltd. did hit the market big in 1993. I did write a post talking about that during Power Rangers' silver anniversary and the same year when Dimensions in Danger kicked in. This week has a very weird side plot where Haruka Kito takes driving lessons. Yup, her auntie who she lives with decided to enroll her to take driving lessons ASAP! Inoue is also known to revisit old scripts AND add a twist. Inoue was known to have written the X-1 Mask episode in  Hikari Sentai Maskman . It was a one-parter that provided a template for two characters - Burai and Gai Yuki. Though, Inoue didn't do much in  Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger . Super Sentai DVD releases is back on track, right? Well, isn't it something to think that Tokosou Sentai Dekaranger did get its first full fan sub with TV-Nihon. Dekaranger may be the first exposure that some Power Rangers fans from the West had to the  Super Sentai franchise. Now, no surprise that Dekaranger finally gets its official DVD release .  After covering a good portion of the first Saban era that's Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger up to Hyajakuu Sentai Gaoranger - it's no surprise that the Disney era is getting covered. We had Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger and Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger . Abaranger will get a 20th-anniversary reunion movie. At the same time, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers will celebrate its 30th anniversary.  I think is coming to a full circle. First,   more Western fans had a taste of the Japanese deal via the fansubs. This week's Avatar Sentai Donbrothers episode tries to bring Donbrothers Kaito Goshikida to the spotlight in a way. Sure, Donbrothers Kaito has been more or less just an ally. As what may be established, Donbrothers Kaito isn't Zenkaiger Kaito. The show's flow of events seem to suggest that this is another Kaito. Others think that Donbrothers Kaito may be the God of Zenkaiger Universe in the form of Kaito. For one, I think Donbrothers Kaito being the God of Zenkaiger Universe is a possibility.  We have a new robot called the Don Killer. It was meant to be launched IF the Donbrothers don't accomplish their mission. The episode is pretty weird actually. Yet, it does reveal why Donbrothers Kaito isn't the same as Zenkaiger Kaito. It's pretty much different from how Kotaro Minami became Kamen Rider BLACK RX or how Ryoma Kagawa became Knight Fire in Solbrain. Instead, it's seemingly planned that Donbrothers Kaito should be a very different Kaito from Zenkaiger Ka

  Granted, next year would be the 30th birthday of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers and Gosei Sentai Dairanger - I decided to write this post during Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger's 30th year. There's celebrating a franchise's anniversary between its year (birthday) or by its entry number. Power Rangers celebrated by season number. However, 2013 and 2023 (which is next year) are celebrated by time passed since 1993. Power Rangers Ninja Storm wasn't the anniversary. Yet, it seems that after Nickelodeon took over (and that split into two seasons is just stupid) - the whole celebration focused on the age of Mighty Morphin' since it came into existence.
