In Bioman's rather cheesy English dub, Peebo was referred to as "he" at first, then later Peebo was referred to as "she". It was pretty much lost in translation to what Peebo's gender is. I don't rely much on Wikipedia seeing that anybody can edit the article and vandalize it. Technically speaking, Peebo would have no gender but then, even robots in science fiction are classified as "male" or "female" just as their supposed parent/parents would program them to do so.  Here's the argument they used to justify Peebo as a female - the robot was voiced by a female and had a female suit actor. Certain female rangers in Super Sentai especially the pink ranger had a male stunt double for certain more dangerous scenes to perform. In fact, episode 10 of Bioman had only the male stuntman perform the death of Mika Koizumi just in case you didn't notice.  If you've played Megaman Legends -  the voice actor for Megaman was a female...

I think two of Sentai's android assistants were somewhat inspired by American movies. They are: C3PO I believe inspired the creation of the android Peebo of Bioman by crossing it over with a Kamen Rider design. Timeranger's Tac the Mechanical Owl reminds me of Bubo of Clash of the Titans.

Super Sentai had robot assistants. The idea got ported for Power Rangers' Alpha Five (but he didn't exist in Zyuranger). I'd like to display them: IC the Denjidog may look like a real dog but he's actually a robot from the Denji Star. The concept was also ported into the Metal Hero series Metalder. Peebo is the first humanoid one. He's a cross between Kamen Rider and C3Po. He was more of an assistant than a commander. His personality IMO would later be used for Alpha Five in Power Rangers. He's been able to cry when Mika Koizumi died in episode 10. There was MAC from Flashman who assisted the Flashmen. Colon was the first action oriented android assistant. She's also the first female assistant. Arthur G6 is the Hoshikawa family guardian. He also becomes a cannon when needed. Gogo V had Mint a cheery and child-like assistant android.
