It's almost the month's end in May, and summer vacation memories are coming to an END. The Super Sentai hiatus made me rewrite IBC-13's bad scheduling . I didn't realize that a short trip to Toy Kingdom suddenly reminded me of another childhood of lies -- them old Bandai merchandise overload in the 1990s! A trip to Toy Kingdom at my current age made me think of the Toys R Us jingle. I could talk about the older merchandise that hit the toy stores like the once huge SM Toy Store, the now-defunct Nova Fontana, and SM's very own Toy Kingdom. It was the 1990s, and I thought about the toy overload. A 1990s child might remember the "joy" was that running and hurrying home to watch that Sunday kiddie show on IBC-13.   Last year, I made a post where I mentioned how Dengeki Sentai Changeman made me see Power Rangers in Space as an overrated gamble . Super Sentai being off-air made me think that my IBC-13 post should've been the "swan song" of this blog . However, Super Sentai's hiatus is the standard of "never forgotten" even if the franchise had its closure with No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger . However, Shogo B'Stard's current Chikyu Sentai Fiveman marathon made me want to do some random rants. I wanted to do a Flashman marathon with my own crazy twists. Super Sentai may be on hiatus, but I felt like still giving it the honors every now and then. This photo can be so sad, just thinking of how Yuka Motohashi (who played as Natsumi Shinohara in Gekisou Sentai Carranger ) left us so soon due to cancer. Carranger's 30th anniversary happened this year, and that show could've been the anniversary. Instead, there was the contender because Choriki Sentai Ohranger was actually the 20th anniversary of Himitsu Sentai Goranger . The references were hard to dismiss like the military trend with Goranger , Dengeki Sentai Changeman , and Ohranger . It was also on 1995 when Goranger became more recognized as the first true Super Sentai series! Apparently, there was some kind of identity crisis. Should a Super Sentai series celebrate its anniversary by year or by entry number ? Do the mathematics.  Ohranger was the 20th birthday of Goranger . Carranger was the 20th Super Sentai entry.
