Sentai Injustice: Gurail's Removal From Megaranger

Image
Oh no!  Who is the strange villain in the shadows? Megaranger itself was one amazing season.  It was the first season to try and deal again with the science theme on focus after the Hirohisa Soda era which introduced Bioman (robotics vs. life), Flashman (manipulating life) and Liveman (good vs. evil use of technology).  The whole idea of Megaranger was bordered on science. Super Sentai seasons are usually known for introducing a game changing villain and Gurail was one of them.  He was sent by the ruler of Nezire, Javious I to keep the invasion team on track.  Gurail was introduced in Megaranger episode 19 of Megaranger.  I thought he really looked frightening, he was one sadistic creature and I would admit, he has a very creepy laugh and mysterious feel.  At the same time he also feels like the Scott Evil of Megaranger's villains considering that he always had better plans than most of his comrades. What made Gurail an interesting villain for m...

Sentai Injustice: Garoa's Character Decay and Demise

Image
After I wrote about Chevalier, let me discuss about another terrible character decay that is Garoa.  So at first, Garoa happens to be one badass commander but the later half of the show turns him into somewhat idiotic.  So I would say that while Garoa did have his own moments but I felt like writing him into an idiot for the second half was a Sentai injustice. Early Fiveman episodes presented Garoa though moronic (well most Sentai villains are idiots) was a badass fighter.  In episode 15, he saw that Zone was failing and to protect the others from Meadow's wrath, he volunteered to fight the Fivemen and settle his rivalry with Gaku.  He was one to be aggressive of his duty for Meadow and he was very devoted to his job as captain.  In episode 13, I can't help but admire him when he guarded the others from Meadow's wrath being accountable for his actions. The problem was even before Chevalier arrived, he was already becoming more of an idiot after episode 20. ...

Sentai Injustice: The Way Chevalier Was Handled in Fiveman!

Image
It's normal to have game-changing villains in Super Sentai.  Bioman had Silver who can negate Anti-Bio Particles, Changeman had that bitch Ahames to worry about, Kiros in Maskman destroyed the Shot Bomber and becomes a constant troll to the Fivemen but what about Chevalier?  Now I thought he was cool at first with his cool entrance, presenting himself as a troll but... the problem is most of his plans are just as half-brained as Garoa's which may not make him that much of a game changing villain. I mean if you are going to introduce a game-changing villain, please make sure he is a real threat not just another takeover without much of a change.  Now I can credit the fact that he actually did kill Five Red BUT the fact he didn't discern Kasumi's fake surrender is stupid.  I mean, any competent game changer would choose not to buy that story.  It's just ridiculous and I mean, by accepting Kasumi, he left himself openly vulnerable.  In Kiros' case of suppos...

Sentai Injustice: What I Think Went Wrong with Gokaiger 28!!!!

Image
Now I have discussed about Gai Yuki's death, now let's talk about Gokaiger 28!  So here's my opinion on Gokaiger 28... which for me had good points but had one severe injustice IMO... Gokaiger episode 28!  Now what's the big deal?  Let's get this points done and over with and why I think it's an injustice... Toshiki Inoue style! What's the big deal?! Good you asked.  So Toshiki Inoue was that guy who write Chojin Sentai Jetman and Kamen Rider Agito, two series I really like.  He also wrote Kamen Rider Kiva which I also like but not as much.  But he also wrote Kamen Rider Faiz which was really a mess.  Now here's what I think is wrong with his guest writing in Gokaiger! So what's the big deal?  Now I can accept now that Gai Yuki is dead while still believing how he died was a complete Sentai injustice !  I mean, this episode showed that Gai Yuki was a warrior worthy of the halls of Valhalla!  It was nice to have him back, verify ...

Sentai Injustice: The Way Gai Yuki Died!

Image
Now I would understand if you got stabbed by a knife, yon can die and Gai Yuki's death was realistic on his part but the Jetmen looked like idiots when they couldn't notice anything wrong. Now what was practically wrong with it? Here's what I think... and you can ask WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL? You may also read my speculation behind Toshiki Inoue's injustice . For one, Gai Yuki is partly based on Joe Asakura. Both of them were badass heroes who would go into the battle line. For one, Gai Yuki was the type who would risk his life in combat. For example, during the Juuza Arc, he took a blast meant for Kaori and even he knew he could die. During the Three Demons Gods arc, he was willing to die to set Kaori free and he said he'll fight to his last drop of blood. For one, Gai Yuki's actions prove that he is one that if he should die, he would truly deserve a warrior's death not just being killed by a random mugger! You know, the death scene of Gai Yuki could...

Sentai Injustice: Writing Off Junior/Gasha Dokuro Too Soon!

Image
I was inspired by Toku Warriors' post about Bilgenia to write this post. Here's my two cents.  So I'm still watching Kakuranger (and I have a LOT of distractions as of late) and there was one villain I thought was really written off too soon namely Gasha Dokuro.  He was played by villain actor Kenichi Endo who has been involved in a lot of action movies, usually playing villainous characters.  On the other hand, the first time I saw Endo was in one episode of Janperson where he acted as an agent of the Super Science Network. So what's the whole deal?  Junior appeared as the leather-wearing punk in Kakuranger who is cruel, vicious and vindictive to the core.  He showed up making the Kakurangers really suffer more than they should.  He would not hesitate to use children as shields and he brought the Hanarangers to fight the Kakurangers.  Every moment he was in, he literally caused a nightmare to the Kakurangers.  Just a warning there are spoiler...
