Top Three Winners: Yasuko Kobayashi- 25/50 votes I guess aside from the current Gobusters series is written by her, she is remembered also for Gingaman, Timeranger and Shinkenger as well.  I guess this is just an overrating vote due to Gobusters being the most current Sentai. Naruhisa Arakawa- 22/50 votes Nobody can deny that Naruhisa Arakawa's Gokaiger was just freaking awesome for most fans.  Or who can forget Abaranger and Dekaranger?  Yep I guess nobody can forget the excitement that Naruhisa Arakawa became Gokaiger's head writer.  Oh yeah I wonder if some who voted are also Kuuga watchers? Should Gokaiger be the last Sentai series? Yes it should be the last only had 20/314 votes. The rest had 294/314 votes for more Sentai.   Poll time from Power Rangers Samurai... How do you rate Power Rangers Samurai? 169/284 says it's a good series.  I suspect trolls here. 53/284 says it's an average series.  I agree with this. 62/284 says it's a bad comeback for Saban.  Operation Overdrive was much worse. How do you find the mecha overload lately? 18/42 said that it's okay. 24/42 said to cut down on the mecha. Where do I stand? I want to cut down on the mecha. I think it's time to be a little more old school. BTW I am deleting blog entries I feel should be removed for good reasons like irrelevance.

Assuming there are PR-Sentai fans (liking both series either equally or more than the other) here are the votes: 31/51 voted for "Yes because Saban is back", only one voted for "No because Disney is gone", 9/51 is a Sentai severity voter saying "No because I hate franchising" and 10/51 says "Yes because I'm also a fan." I assume the majority voters are PR-Sentai fans since this is a Super Sentai blog. Since I allowed multiple choice of answers, they are: 26/36 voted for likable characters. 17/36 voted for contributed new ideas to Sentai. 16/36 voted for Asians are the cool characters. 15/36 voted for humor is less corny and overacting is not very common. 12/36 voted for high returns for Toei. 11/36 voted for girls were usually hotter. Not surprisingly, for the poll "Which Saban hot girl caught your attention the most?", 20/35 voted for Kimberly Hart. I agree. Sigh I can't find a girl that looks like her to be mine.

How do you feel that Saban is returning? 31/51 said it's great (Sentai-PR fans regardless of category), 13/51 said they're neutral (typical I like Sentai more than PR but I don't mind about PR existing maybe?) and 7/51 said "Boo, Hiss". I think those who voted for "Boo Hiss" may be either Sentai purists or Disney over Saban supporters. Which makes better Power Rangers? Not surprisingly 23/42 want Shinkenger while a good number of 19/42 want Goseiger. I just hope Saban decides to use an Asian red ranger for the first and the last time to make his comeback memorable. We've seen so many black and white red rangers, why not a yellow one too? Do you think Goseiger is too kiddie? 23/47 said no. I belong to the 14/37 who said yes that it's too kiddie. I felt that Shinkenger or even a "Care Bear" Sentai like Magiranger is more mature than Goseiger. Do newer Sentai characters give you PR nostalgia? 30/35 said no. Only 5/35 said yes. Well that's that. For me, some of them do, some of them don't. Ha ha.

Do you find Shinkenger to be way overrated? It's a close battle with 31/59 saying yes, 28/59 saying no. Close battle really. How do you find Datas' morphing? 31/39 said awesome, 3/39 said not a very good plot and a 5/39 want to dismantle him. Those who answered the last option are cruel. Since I allowed choosing multiple answers, so here's the sequence from top to bottom: 41/50 voted for better plot. I think this happened after some people saw MMPR first then Zyuranger, that led to it and later checked out Dairanger, Kakuranger and so on. However there are times PR can get a better plot than usual especially during the Judd Lynn season Lost Galaxy which incorporated old ideas to make something new. 36/50 chose it's because of the intense fight scenes. Well U.S. and Japan are too different. 32/50 voted because villains are usually more evil. Well true. Tied with "more evil villains" is another 32/50 vote for cultural bias. Here are the newest poll results: How do you find extra rangers in Sentai? 51//60 said yes, 9/60 said no. I think people like having extra rangers and extra heroes. So far, no sixth ranger was included in the opening credits until Megaranger (correction, ha ha ha). For other extra rangers like in Liveman which made a team of three to a team of five, the additional two were added into the opening credits. Also later, Tetsu/Deka Break was the first sixth ranger to be more developed rather than just appearing when the team needs help. I used a picture of Burai because he was the first sixth ranger to appear for some time. I don't count X-1 Mask as such. As a Sentai fan, do you like Kamen Rider? 47/58 said yes. I guess that's why TV-Asahi shows Kamen Rider back to back with Sentai. Hmmm if TV5 gets Go-onger (but I suggest they should also get Shinkenger and Dekaranger) it may still be showed with Kamen Rider. A lot of Sentai fans new or old still like Kamen Rider. However...

Do you think Super Sentai can attract a female audience? 38/42 said yes, 4/42 said no. I think it can however most Super Sentai hotties were females if you ask me. Do you find Sentai babes to be hotter than most PR babes? 31/38 said yes, 7/38 said no. I agree with the yes side, looking at how most PR babes today don't look as hot anymore.

Now for more poll results. Which Sentai was more lighthearted? Go-onger won by 37/54 votes. I agree. It's more lighthearted. Carranger had a more serious touch. Was Go-onger totally nonsense? It was a close battle really. 32/61 think it is, 29/61 think not at all. I think it's not total nonsense. If you want total nonsense, just watch parody Sentai not the real thing which I believe is part of Toei. Do apocalyptic finales ruin lighthearted Sentai? 34/57 said yes, 23/57 said no. But I think it does because Go-onger is supposedly funny so why add so much gloom?

Here are the results of that poll that I allowed selection of multiple answers to rank them: Cultural biases between east and west became the first reason got 39/54 votes. I agree. As an oriental, I've experienced bullying from people who believed that the west was the best. However for Saban's era, it seems that the non-whites kept overshadowing the whites like how blacks and Asians display rather cool moves that the others don't. The American superiority mentality got 30/54 votes. Can't help but use Syd as a portrait for that negative value. Hated her really. Some cool stuff exclusive to PR got 22/54 votes in total.
