Okay, here's an old list I decided to update. Yellow rangers were usually male but there were times when they were female. In Power Rangers , most of the male yellow rangers are given female counterparts for some cultural reason. I admit I wasn't too shocked that Trini's counterpart in Zyuranger is a MAN because Turboranger had a male yellow ranger. I decided to update this post because of Haruka Kito herself. Here are the female yellow rangers in Super Sentai up to the present: Mika Koizumi/Yellow Four 1 and Jun Yabuki/Yellow Four 2 She was the first yellow ranger in Super Sentai history. Sadly she's the first female ranger to be killed off too. Bioman wanted to do so but there was some behind-the-scenes conflict with Yuki Yaijima. Yuki abruptly left the show and not so many know why she did it. Mika was presented as a loner who just wanted to be left alone. SuperSentai2023 Instagram Super Sentai was trying to stay afloat more than once. The reboot treatment has been working wonders as long as it caters to children . What I never noticed is that Super Sentai tried a new plot with the lovable nerd heroine. Power Rangers fans may raise Kendrix Morgan due to her wearing glasses. The difference is Kendrix wore spandex and fought bad guys. However, most of the lovable nerds here minus Yayoi Ulshade aren't ranger-type characters. Maybe, three out of four of them have really bad eyesight -- not good for battles! However, they made up for it with their intellect. Yes, not all heroes go out into the battlefield and fight. Some are the BTS encouragers like Alfred Pennyworth in Batman . Miho Nakamura was the laboratory assistant at Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters . The show does have some similarities to Power Rangers RPM like having a sentient virus Big Bad. I like how the Energy Management Center gave a commander in Takeshi Kuroki (too bad the actor ...

I think it's time to document the tragic deaths of Super Sentai heroes/heroines as they were. I decided to update this post after some time it was written more than 10 years ago. As heroes as they are - they are NOT invincible because they are flawed humans.  Here are some of the deaths that really took place and brought a tear to the eyes of fans.... Daigorou Kumano/Ki Ranger II He was a temporary member. He was killed when Can Opener Mask's blade thrust into his stomach and killed him. The actor was just there temporarily since the original acted in a play. Sadly, the original Kiranger, Baku Hatakeyama ENDED his life in real life. So sad Hatakeyama was only 34 years old. Meanwhile, Jiro Daruma still lives for now.  Kensaku Shiraishi/Battle Cossack I He was severely shot by Egos agents out of his suit (here there is no henshin sequence, only wear the suit and boom) while trying to save his younger sister. It's too obvious I'm watching Donbrothers as a guilty pleasure. I'm watching it to BASH IT when I could. I felt like how I was watching Beast Morphers to bash it as well. It's no secret that Haruka Kito reminds me of both Yoko Usami and Zoey Reeves . I feel that Toshiki Inoue is giving her a little more personality than either Yasuko Kobayashi or Judd Lynn could've done with Yoko and Zoey. An interesting part of Haruka is how she was falsely accused of plagiarism from episode one. The allegations were dropped but it's become a plotline. I wonder if Inoue is having new ideas, did a good rest do any good (and I enjoyed his involvement in Kamen Rider Zi-O's episodes dedicated to Kamen Rider Kiva ), though I remembered how I could say Kiva was where he burnt out, I was worried he might screw up again due to fatigue, etc.  The recent revelation is that a certain someone going by the name of Naoki Shiina. Okay, this blog entry is rather old (written last June 5, 2011) and I decided to UPDATE IT. Yes, it's because of the recent discovery that we've got another Haruka as a yellow ranger. I decided to update this list where some characters have the same first names (and even THE SAME RANGER DESIGNATION) while others have different ranger colors. With that said, here's a bit of an UPDATED history lesson, get it? Haruka (Yellow Mask) and Haruka Kito (Oni Sister) Recently, I really failed to notice this one and this is why I'm updating this old post. Both of them are yellow rangers. With this in mind...here are others you may have noticed had the same first names.  Tyuyoshi Kaijo (Akaranger) and Tyuyoshi Kijino (Kiji Brother) Both of them have named Tyuyoshi. Pink is a lighter variation of red. I just wonder if having the first male pink ranger is actually because of that? Then again many pink rangers had male stunt doubles too!
