Kiramager Episode 4 - Princess Of Nowhere, What?

It's time for the weekly Kiramager review. It's too early for me to say if Naruhisa Arakawa is burning out or if Kiramager will reboot Super Sentai for the Reiwa era. This week's episode is somewhat predictable and cliche in many ways.

The episode starts where Neanderthal Jamen (not shown) was defeated earlier. Yet they wonder why no new Jamen Beast has shown up just yet. Well, it does show up but only later. A new elaborate scheme is about to be hatched. The Kiramagers get alerted of a black Kiramai Stone which arrives.

The Kiramagers dispatch their mecha to investigate the situation. A black train with a face shows up. Something's not right according to Mashin Fire. It's the royal family vehicle, isn't it?

Garza appears apparently being battered. I don't know if this should be very predictable that it is one of those many fake villain defections in fiction. In Super Sentai - we had that with Zazoriya in the Goggle V movie and Professor Kemp had a fake defection in Liveman.

At this point, I think Tametomo just broke the fourth wall. It's a typical villain plot to use one's blood ties for convenience, right? At this point, I'm almost seeing The Lion King and Hamlet here. Mabusheena tries to get the Kiramei Crystal believing that her father is still alive.

Meanwhile, we get to see an in-show glimpse of Emperor Yodon. Emperor Yodon is yet to speak as of this time but he does look really creepy. I'm just reminded of Don Armage early on in Kyuranger looking at this.

Kiraimei Red's ability to see through the treachery is something. By learning how Crystalians work - he was able to see Garza's treachery. I guess this episode further cements as to why Juuru became Kiramei Red. It's later revealed that Garza has a sibling rivalry with Oradin. That's why I just mentioned The Lion King and Hamlet awhile ago. If you remember, Scar had a hatred for his older brother Mufasa in The Lion King because he was never going to be king. Did Garza also want to be king, too?

Meanwhile, a new mecha from Garza is released. It's really something when it's too predictable. This new T-Rex dark mecha is something. How did Garza even manage to pull it off? I just hope this mecha doesn't go to waste and gets an epic send-off.

Meanwhile, there's a bit of apology from Mabusheena. TBH, I can understand why she easily fell for the enemy's trap. Looks like some family conflict is about to take place.

Next week would have Kiramei Yellow's focus. Looks like team inner fighting due to some spell is about to happen. Though I'm keeping a very low bar now thanks to what I call the Ryusoulger fiasco.
