Well, it's time for another Kiramager season. This time, I'm seeing some Gaku Washio from Gaoranger with this guy. He has the leadership capabilities and tends to get upset why the red rnager was made leader. In this episode - we're having some gaming tournaments with Tametomo. We have Ayumi Shino who is another newbie writer. Hopefully, Arakawa will be able to rub in some of his charms on newer writers.
The episode opens up with a gaming tournament. Okay, I suggest my readers to try watching King's Avatar on Netflix if they have the time. Personally, I'm actually losing passion for Super Sentai for the nth time as if the 2000s weren't enough.
Meanwhile, three new Kiramei Jewels have fallen. Are we really ready for new Bandai merchandise? The show introduces three of them which can be a sign of "Gotta sell more toys!" Gaoranger did have one episode where Gaku got two Gao Animals at once namely Gao Bear and Gao Panda.
The latest Jamenshi is Joystick Jamen. This is nostalgic when I think about the Famicon Joystick which we used to play the game Top Gun with. The monster controls Kiramei Blue and the whole team is forced to fight their comrade. Kiramei Yellow shows off some real skill beyond video games with how he deals with Joystick Jamen.
We get a flashback of Tametomo with his grandfather. Wait, isn't that Tekken 6 and a Playstation 3? Tekken 6 was a game that came out in the late 2000s. That was pretty much 2009 when the console game came out. 2009 was the year of Shinkenger. So how old is Tametomo now since it's 2020? How old was he in these flashbacks? He does have a one-time misunderstanding with his paternal grandfather over a game. His paternal grandfather bought the wrong game. Like a typical child, he gets demanding but regrets it as the old man dies on the same night. That's why he's learned not to be a nag.
Meanwhile, a new team is born with construction vehicles. They do serve some function into the battle to assist Kiramazin later on. Juru was told earlier not to let his teammates know yet. Both Shiguru and Sayo try to stop him but it's too late. The three new machines are born.
Meanwhile, I do love how Kiramei Yellow uses his double to help in the battle. It's to impress Shovyellow. This one has him overpowering the joystick. Juru allows himself to be controlled on purpose. The plan works well in defeating Joystick Jamen.
The battle with Joystick Regani is kind of weird. I do have the tendency to get nervous about giant robot battles and did anybody get stepped on? Granted, there's an off-screen evacuation procedure so none of the damaged buildings have any people in them. The three new vehicles become new weapons. I wonder will we get cluster combinations soon?
Next week - Sayo turns into a child mentally speaking. A bit of fanservice for old-schoolers is Seiju Umon (Goushi in Zyuranger) is going to make a guest appearance. Right now, I wonder what's Umon's guest role going to be?
