Former Valley Girls in Sentai

I think Sentai had these former valley girls worth mentioning. They are:

Kaori Rokumekan/White Swan of Jetman- She started as the sole heiress of the Rokumekan Group of Companies and she joined the Jetmen to escape her boring life. She started out as a brat (not really) when it was time to train for the Jet Birds where she felt she didn't "fit in" she decided to leave the team until she found out how spoiled she was thinking about their battles so she decided to go and try one more time leaving the man her parents forced her to marry at the altar :-P. She tried one more time and succeeded. She grew mature as the series' battles progressed realizing more and more how much teamwork meant especially when she was caught in the middle of a love triangle of Ryu Tendo (who I believe was interested in her but was unsure) and Guy Yuuki (who liked her at first slap). In the end, she married Ryu Tendo. :-)

Although for Sakura Nishihori/Bouken Pink it wasn't revealed in the series earlier, it was later revealed she came from a rich family so she was a valley girl PRIOR to becoming a Boukenger. But before she was recruited, she was part of the defense force to find her destiny. Unlike Kaori Rokumekan, she's far more combat oriented and tougher. She also has her frustration of being ignored by Satoru Akashi/Bouken Red while she was seemingly linked with Eiji Takaoka/Bouken Silver (but it mostly happened in fandom) and it also seemed Inou Masumi/Bouken Black previously was in love with her. In the end, she followed Satoru Akashi/Bouken Red into space.

Ran Uzaki/Geki Yellow came from a rich family. Her mother allowed her to become a ranger so she will see what life is about compared to most rich parents. Her mother also wanted to find the best husband for her too.

  1. LOL. I love how you used a pic of Sakura in the episode where she has to act girly. Nice pick sean! XD

  2. I really don't know what it means to be a "valley girl" but based on your post I kinda have an idea what it is.

I think you should add Ran Uzaki/GekiYellow. It is said in episode 37 of Gekiranger that her family is a local royalty and that Ran is like a princess. She was only allowed by her mother to join the Gekiranger in order to see the world outside the royal life. I just watched the episode again to make sure, hehehe...

  3. I remember in episode 23, Ran goes all weird. LOL. Not sure if that counts as anything, but I sure loved it! XD
