Different Ways of Wearing Their Battle Suits in Super Sentai!

In Super Sentai we have various ways of transforming which are...

Goranger- They simply jumped into the air and blink they get their suits.

In JAKQ the first four members used those transformation capsules which they transformed before heading to battle.  I just wanna laugh at how slow the process seemed. =P

Battle Fever J featured the members wearing their suits prior to combat, like the Avengers or X-Men type of to thing rather than transform on field.

The Denzimen used rings.

Sun Vulcan started the trend of using transformation braces which usually doubled as a communicator either one piece or two pieced braces.  Later to follow were Goggle V, Dynaman, Bioman, Changeman, Flashman, Maskman, Liveman, Turboranger, Jetman, Dairanger, Kakuranger, Ohranger, Carranger, Megaranger, Gingaman, Gogo V, Timeranger, Hurricanger, Abaranger, Gekiranger, Go-onger, Gobusters, Kyoryuger and Toqger.  The most common henshin device huh?

Zyuranger had the Dino Bucklers.

Dekaranger introduced the use of badges instead.  Normal it is after all a space police Sentai. These badges were also communication devices similar to that in B-Fighter and B-Fighter Kabuto.

Gaoranger begam the concept of using phones as henshin devices.  It was later followed by Magiranger, Boukenger, Shinkenger, Goseiger and Gokaiger.  My personal favorite are the Shodo Phones of Shinkenger. (Correction added as of March 27, 2014)

  1. Goranger and Battle Fever (the latter on rare occasions) also did a turn to transform (although they only turned once, not multiple times like Wonder Woman). Oh, and using phones as henshin devices actually started with Gaoranger, but it didn't become a regular thing until Magiranger.

  2. Actually Gaoranger was the first sentai to use phones as henshin devices.

  3. Actually, Gaoranger introduced the phone henshin device concept for the main rangers. Megaranger introduced it altogether, but that was for the 6th ranger only (MegaSilver).

  4. Battle Fever did the Go Ranger blink henshin, bracelet wise Liveman introduced the double set.
X-1 Mask channels his aura power and chant "CHANGE POWER" to become the character.

Fiveman uses V-Changers which comes in two forms wristbands for guys necklace for girls. They come off like a Ultraman gizmo to henshin.

Black Knight Hyuuga used a sword to henshin like He-Man.
MagiShine use a ticket and a stamper to get into uniform.
Geki Chopper is mixed either he henshin from his Geki Changers or Said Cutter?
Zyurangers buckle henshin made more sense then MMPR, they pulled out the morphers behind their jean pocket and a video scene shows them morphing.

This is when you are incorrect, the cellphone is started by Mega Silver of Megaranger. They finally used them as a team in Gaorangers, Magirangers was 5 years later.

  6. I would also like to point out that the majority of the Kyoryugers' henshin device was a gun (the Gaburevolver), only KyoryuGold's device was wrist worn. The first gun henshin device was used by the Go-onWings, later, Beet Buster and Stag Buster had one too.

    1. I guess you don't count the Bull Riot, since it's mainly a sword and Hyuuga uses it to transform when it's in its Sword Mode.

The Wing Triggers are technically not guns. Well they're incomplete guns at the very least. They need the Rocket Daggers to fully become guns.

  7. Battle Fever J did have a transformation device. It's the Battleceivers (which they wear on one of their wrist). They're used to store the suits.
