Ryusoulger Episode 11: The Burning Quiz Master

It's time for another Ryusoulger review! Now, we're getting a two-part involved the Dime Volcano . It asketh questions and if you thou doth not get it -- it will spew out flames! Well, we're getting a dragon here! Now moving onward!

Creon foolishly decideth to take the challenge. Personally, I'm pretty bad at riddles. Though I assume that the answer for the riddle was a pancake if it's an edible pan. Creon nearly getteth himself fried in the process!

Shen Menasaur showeth up yet we doth not know yet who is the host is. This one pretty much looketh like a clam. Okay, anybody out there who wants clam chowder because I certainly don't.

Shen Menasaur has the ability to cast illusions. This one causeth the Ryusoulgers to confuse Ryusoul Blue for a Druidon soldier. Okay, this almost remindeth me of that episode in Mighty Morphin' where Lord Zedd used a spell to make the heroes see each other as putties. The smoke causeth an illusion. Also, remember in Boukenger that episode where a mist can cause massive confusion?

Both brothers Towa and Banba try to search for the latest Bandai merchandise. Unfortunately, they were beaten there by both Wizeru and Creon. Hmmm I guess it was a smart move not to get direct. The power of Dime Volcano is THAT GREAT.

This one is where Wizeru and Creon try to answer some questions. However, it only resulteth in cartoony flame scene. I'd hate to think what if Dime Volcano ended up meeting the likes of Peter Griffin and Homer Simpson?

The Ryusoulgers discusseth the latest Bandai merchandise. It turneth out that Dime Volcano was sealed away out of ignorance. They are wondering how to solve the riddles. Melt is reading the manual containing instructions how to acquire the latest Bandai merchandise but...

Well, it turneth out that Asuna is at fault for the missing page. Melt was reading how to operate the latest Bandai merchandise. Asuna wanted a peek. Okay Melt, is your common sense level that low?

Melt also proveth that just because you are highly intelligent -- it doesn't mean that you don't have moments where you can be that stupid. I assume that both the less intelligent Banba and Towa had the answer right of the flood above and flood below. A bath has a flood of fire underneath and a flood of water above. Good thing Melt wasn't scorched. Okay, did this scene take it straight from Zyuranger where King Brachion nearly roasted Burai and Geki with a fireball from his mouth?

Dime Volcano visiteth a child named Haruto who has an eye operation. The child can't see yet. It goeth there to the hospital and asketh questions. I'd like to question the logic of this scene. How can anyone NOT notice a huge dinosaur visit a sick child? It's a good thing that no military or whatever decided to try and apprehend it. Just imagine the carnage that kind of scene alone could cause! Speaking of which -- I'm getting reminded of Kamen Rider Wizard with that name!

Koh decideth to meet with the Dime Volcano. He apologizeth on behalf of the Ryusoul people. Dime Volcano talketh about a child that he visiteth every now and then.

Koh runneth into the hospital and findeth out that Wizeru has kidnapped the patient Haruto. He was there a while ago before meeting the Dime Volcano. The kidnapping was expected with Wizeru disguising himself as a nurse. What's with Toku male villains disguising as human women anyway?

Wizeru and Creon decide to piss the Volcano Dimetrodon with the child taken hostage. I wonder since when did they find this kind of technology if these guys are from a time long ago? Logic? Well, Toku logic or superhero logic, in general, will seldom require suspension of disbelief.

Koh manageth to answer the whole riddle by saying pizza ten times and says, "I want some pizza!" Man, you just made me hungry Koh! Koh may not be so intelligent, he may be somewhat intellectually stupid but he doth save the day with the riddle. Random? I guess it's his kind heart that got the trust of the new Kishinryu.

A new form called called Burning Dinosaur Soul is created. Fortunately, Ryusoul Red still getteth help from everyone and hopefully, he doesn't turn into a Daigo 2.0! We get an impressive rescue scene but Shen Menasaur escapes.

I found the whole rescue scene nice. The gunpowder is about to blow. No time for the cast to brag their out-of-suit scenes. What's important is to get the child saved!

The missing page is later discovered. I like this twist where the Ryusoulgers manage to come out of the problem on their own -- rather than trust in the manual.

Meanwhile, both Haruto and Koh go back into the forest where Dime Volcano is. I love the touching reunion here.

Next week is where the Bandai merchandise getteth its action. I wonder is Junpei Yamaoka tasked to split it into two episodes or what? Hmmm... this remindeth me of Dairanger was a Super Sentai that was having so many cliffhangers making it have fewer monsters than Zyuranger!
