Ryusoulger 25: Creon's Dance Madness
Well, is it not the time for another Ryusoulger review? It looks like I'm going to have to come up with a compromise for my planned slowdown. It's because I'm having some other stuff caught up with such as Kamen Rider Zero-One may be getting into me or just do it like Dryed Mangoez does -- at his own pace. Now, it's time for a rather weird episode. Dance time! Now, I decided to drop my fake Englishman act for my upcoming Ryusoulger posts, unlike my previous posts to give myself smoother thinking! Note, this episode is written by Kaori Kaneko who's also the writers of Lupinranger vs. Patranger episodes 8, 11, 18, 29, 26, 33, and 34.
I wonder is Oto really just there to be there? She's still there worried about her big brother. Poor Canaro is always well getting into out-of-luck with finding a bride for his tribe. But why would he search in the human world? Ryusoul people have a much longer lifespan than regular humans. Did he even note about a Ryusoul woman who had a human husband though apparently, they had no children together?
This scene seems to be a commentary about how we tend to be taken over technology than us ruling over it. Smartphones make good assistants but terrible bosses, huh? The souls of people have been captured by some video of Creon dancing.
How Oto got to see the video is unknown. But she probably did through other means. It's really something when this video has been sucking people's souls. Again, is this episode a commentary that while the digital age is a good thing -- too much of its power can waste your mind?
I really have to admit Asuna can be tactless -- did she have to point out that Creon had better moves than Melt? Melt does save both Asuna and Koh from the soul-stealing. However, Tyramigo's soul also gets stolen in the process.
Both Oto and Ui have their souls stolen in two different situations. No surprise there. Earlier, we had Ui who was amazed by the video.
I wonder what Wizeru plans to do with all those souls he's gathered? Does he have some half-brained plan to attain power or what?
Here's a bit of an interesting turn from the Menasaurs. An ugly nerd guy named Anikin becomes friends with Creon without knowing what's in store for him. I really have to admit that he didn't become the host in spite of having drunk some of the green liquid. Since he was always negative then the monster, the Grim Reaper Menasaur, won't grow giant then.
The monster is literally at the Internet system? This reminds me of the time I actually watched Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad (by DiC) and its source material Gridman years later -- I don't want to rewatch either show now! Asuna thinks of smashing the laptop but Melt says that they must enter it. How can they enter it? They need Shadow Raptor but Tyramigo's soul is still missing.
Wizeru tries to use the same viral video to get the souls of the Ryusoulgers. Honestly, he could have won if he incapacitated them first and made them watch the video. The other Ryusoulgers enter and rescue the souls. They rescue Tyramigo's soul first.
The fight inside the Internet is just weird. I'm reminded of how I got flak for once liking Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad for its fights inside the digital world. The concept of Gridman somehow just didn't kick off during the 90s either.
I love how Creon ended up causing the character defeats. Wizeru sure is stupid when he called it trash. He could have complemented Creon enough for the plan to work. The video's deletion allowed the Grim Reaper Menasaur to be destroyed for good.
Quite a bit of a laugh. They want to do the video again. After Ui says, "ACTION" -- we quickly get into the credits.
Next week looks pretty interesting. It's the lore of Nada the seventh night. Is there a seventh Ryusoulger? Is the missing Dino Knight connected to him? Okay, I'm still getting RPG vibes again with this one.
