Well, after one week without Super Hero Time - I really think about something else. There were leaks that suggested that Dai Satan from Zyuranger was returning. However, it turned out that the costume used in Super Sentai Strongest Battle has just been repainted.
The beginning has a nightmare scene. A mysterious figure shows up and yup - it's a Dai Satan repaint. The wiki calls the monster as Satan Menasaur. Okay, I do hate it whenever the name Satan is used just for a monster of the week (such as Satan Megas from Bioman) rather than to use it for the Bigger Bad like Zyuranger did.
Canaro is now and already communicating with the Mosa Rex. They're told that a greater challenge is about to emerge after the Ryusoul Calibur was taken. In RPGs - this would be that moment when the final boss is about to arrive.
Meanwhile, the remaining Druidons and honestly the show hasn't established them AT ALL and this is freaking 2020 already! I mean, I can understand if
Battle Fever J didn't give us much background for Satan Egos in the show because it was 1979. Unfortunately, the Druidons just become a cluttered mess for me. They also talk about the reawakening of Master Eras. It feels like that the final antagonist will show up but would he even make a good one? At least RPGs drop hints here and there about the final antagonist. Here? It feels just random though expected.
Creon gets the magic fear mirror to create his new Menasaur. Did this action cause Melt to have his fear manifested or what?
It's impressive to see Towa and Banba train out-of-suit. Banba chastises Towa's reliance on speed. Just them the evil mist shows up causing trouble. Towa is temporarily incapacitated as a result. Later on, Towa would be freed from it when the mist around his leg is removed with the Fire Soul.
The Satan Menasaur is obviously a repaint of Dai Satan. Who can remember how the Dora Talos from
Zyuranger was a repaint of Gigas from
Liveman? There have been repaints done if the suits are in good condition or what? Budget, budget? Well, I guess so Toei operates within a budget.
Meanwhile, it's refreshing to see all the Ryusoulgers in the cockpit TOGETHER. Yup, I was getting tired of
Dumb and Dumber Koh and Canaro getting all the cockpit action.
Meanwhile, Koh tries to get the cursed mirror to have a smile reflected on it. The cursed mirror is seemingly uncursed.
Next week should be a rather interesting episode. What's with the Ryusoulgers looking like FBI agents? The lore of the Ryusoul Calibur may lead to the finale arc. Will Master Eras finally show up or what? Then again my interest in the show is waning because of other new school stuff and not to mention
Kamen Rider Zero-One has been way more interesting.
