My Final Thoughts On Ryusoulger Episodes 46-48
Well, it's time for what I'd call an unenthusiastic wrap-up and review of Ryusoulger's last three episodes. Am I suffering Super Sentai taste fatigue for the nth time? Was my viewing for other shows on Netflix getting in the way? Is Ryusoulger, well, #RyusouBoring? Can't really say but I'd like to share my final thoughts. If you liked the finale then fine - I respect that! Let's just be respectful, okay?
At this point, I feel like that while Kamen Rider Zero-One is indeed pleasing me - the same can't be said for Ryusoulger in the long run. So, it turns out that Eras herself is the progenitor of BOTH the Druidons and the Ryusoul Tribe. She goes to create the Druidons to destroy the Ryusoul Tribe due to the war that happened. She intends to restart the Earth. However, unlike the Overlord of Darkness in Agito, she doesn't learn anything. She intends to restart everything. For me, she's rather underdeveloped.
Eras' plan to restart the Earth starts with operation euthanasia. The Ryusoulgers are also dragged to their fantasy worlds. However, they realize that these dreams are but dreams. Eras herself is confronted by the Ryusoulgers who eventually destroy her. Hmmm... I just feel like this is a bit of the Olympians and Titans in Greek mythology. Is Eras supposed to even be a representation of Gaia or Mother Earth who is a progenitor of the Olympians? Eras though only wants to create a peaceful world but wants to do it the wrong way. I still find Agito's ending to be a little more well-wrapped when the Overlord of Darkness realizes he hasn't fully understood humanity.
I find the final battle to be quite lame really. Sure, they finally defeat Eras but I think the whole thing just isn't too epic. I was expecting an RPG-like proportion of a final battle. Just think of how Dragon Quest final battles really are, right? Though there's a lot of lessons to learn from when Koh tries to lecture Eras. Koh is seemingly killed but he later returns. The Ryusoulgers proceed with their new lives after that. Later, Ui returns from AMERICA. Well, the big funny thing is Hasbro has already agreed to adapt or localize Ryusoulger but it's still in 2021. Well, blame Nickelodeon's BAD scheduling there, right?

Anyway, just thinking about it. I don't want to really get stuck with the mindset of caring only if something is new or to get stuck with old school is always better. Maybe, I'm still stuck with the hype last 2017 to 2018 namely with Kyuranger as well as Lupinranger vs. Patranger. Both Kyuranger and Lupinranger vs. Patranger had their ups and downs. I felt like Lupinranger vs. Patranger didn't have the finale I wanted but I guess it wrapped things up to how both teams can NEVER truly work together, right? Then you have Kyuranger which is highly ambitious but had some execution flaws (such as Lucky tends to get focused too much) though I'd say it's still better than Kyoryuger. I respect both of those series for ambition. Both series are still worthy of a rewatch for me. However, I do am getting more distant from Super Sentai as a whole due to other new-school stuff out there.
The first Brown Sentai Warrior in history is RyusoulBrown? Wow! Setou (the first Brown Sentai Warrior) got sacrificed there in Episode 46. In Episode 47, the Ryusoulgers were in an illusion created by Eras/Elus. It looks like Canalo had given up on this, but Asuna was against his sayings. In the finale, I thought Kou was the first Red Sentai Warrior to be killed. However, he was resurrected, the mecha were killed and Ui returns from the United States. It has been confirmed that Mana Kinjou (Ui's actress) was pregnant and not sick as it was first reported. I thought Canalo was about to be killed, but he wasn't because he's like Utsusemimaru/KyoryuGold. When it comes to finale, I prefer the AbaRanger Finale rather than this. Blame Toei and TV Asahi for shortening the number of Ryusoulger episodes (48) due to that Super Sentai Strongest Battle! Next time, please compare Ryusoulger to that of Kyoryuger, AbaRanger and ZyuRanger and see how the four Dinosaur Sentai balanced each other. i wanna see the Ultimate Dinosaur Sentai Team-up so badly! Long live Dinosaur Sentai!!!
