Kiramager Episode 7 - Training On You

Every good team needs a good leader, right? Unfortunately, Juuri being the YOUNGEST of the group has a lot to learn as this episode shows.

The newest Jamenbeast is a two-headed monster known as Renetsu Damages. The plan involves two brothers namely Oven Jamen and Ice Jamen. Hmmm... that just reminds me of Turboranger's Bouma brothers episode. However, this one doesn't have a single one who's redeemable.

I'm just thinking of the 1980s cartoon Thundercats just seeing this one. Who can remember the episode where Lion-O had to beat his teammates so he can be rightfully lord of the Thundercats? Both Juuri and Lion-O are the youngest in the team yet they are the leaders of their respective teams. Trying to beat Sena in running, Shiguru in swordsmanship, Sayo in Aikido (though I'm not too impressed at this point), and Tametomo in marksmanship will not be easy.

Meanwhile, sibling rivalry kicks in. Both Oven Jamen and Ice Jamen just can't get along. Garza himself comes up with an elaborate scheme by giving a power boost to Ice Jamen. Garza still remembers how often he hates his brother the late Oradin.

Further training happens with the team. TBH, I wish we would have a five-parter arc where Juuru must beat all his teammates to earn his leadership rights - something similar to the trials in the 80s Thundercats cartoon. Juuru's imagination starts shooting off showing the signs of a new Bandai merchandise.

Meanwhile, it's revealed that Garza lives with the survival of the fittest mindset. He despises the weak. I guess that's why he decided to kill his own brother Oradin. It's because he deemed Oradin too weak for the throne. I just wonder does Oradin have any plans to take over the Yodonheim? Can't tell yet but I feel this guy won't be easy to take down.

In the midst of the difficult evening mecha battle - a new mecha shines in. At this point, I wonder what's the drill for mecha fights during the evening? Some buildings still have their lights on and cars are moving. Oh boy, question logic, right?

Next week, the new mecha comes forth. It looks pretty cool actually in contrast to the merchandise that we're initially presented with.
