Kiramager Episode 8 - Lightning Express

Well, it's time for another Kiramager episode review. I don't know if I should start delaying the updates because I'm caught with newer stuff. Now, last week's episode had a mysterious giant robot. Now, here's another Bandai merchandise in with some very early history of the Planet Crystalia.

The episode begins with last week's battle. Why is it that only Garza and Kiramei Red can see the new giant? The heroes are forced to retreat as Kiramei Red has fainted from all that training they gave him.

This also sets a question of priorities. Was the team too hard on Juuru or not? I do think about how  the team trained him that hard to the point he broke. However, this training would soon play a part in sharpening up his mind.

Okay, this scene of Juuru in the clinic reminds me that the actor Rio Komiya got hospitalized after contracted the Legacy Virus. Fortunately, Komiya has been dismissed but he will have to be careful as he could be reinfected. He has the vision of the late King Oradin for some reason. He also ends up going to a facility by CARAT without his morpher.

Meanwhile, the other four must deal with Ove Marrsk without their leader. I don't know what's with Super Sentai teams being unable to operate if they weren't complete? Also, why does it take an entire team to defeat one monster? Somehow, Toei may still owe people some explanation as to why that happens.

A new interesting rivalry between Kiramei Red and Garza is brewing. A bit of Oradin's past as someone who could care less what happens to him as long as others are helped is brought up. That's why Garza hates Kiramei Red. Kiramei Red reminds Garza of the older brother he hates! The warehouse contains a huge crystal which becomes the Machine Express.

What's interesting to know is that this seems to be a throwback from ToQGer. If you've watched ToQGer then notice there's also the Shadow Express. General Schwartz had his own train too. Here, a train mecha and the Steam are shown. Though, the Machine Steam was originally owned by the Crystalian government before Garza stole it from them.

The Kiramagers show their unity. So, again, what's the reason why there's a big difference between a complete and incomplete Super Sentai team? I guess each member has a different function from the other. The lesson is on teamwork. They have to beat a monster that's probably five times (or even more) stronger than each ranger.

A new mecha is born. The Machine Express combines with Steamer forming the King Express. It's a failsafe just in case the Machine Steam was stolen or fell into evil hands. I wonder would we get the Machine Steam for good? Will Garza eventually get a replacement for it?

Meanwhile, it's Juuru's turn to train the others. So, what's with Sayo becoming the model while the others paint her? I dunno if it's degrading for a surgeon to be on that scale or not. I guess sooner or later - everyone's imagination will link together.

The next one is where the karuta game will be played. What's with Sena and her younger days? It looks like a childhood grudge will be relived!
