Kiramager 39: Grand Duel

Well, we didn't have a New Year's special, right? Anyway, things are going to get rough as the battle for the Granterstones is on. Another plot reveals something with Takamichi's past during his adoptive years in Crystalia. Now, let's get on with it!

The Kiramagers are starting 2021 (and still having to deal with COVID-19). They're wondering where Takamichi is. It's mentioned that Takamachi is out there to meet Garza over something very important. Yup, this is the plot of this week's episode.

Carantula calls Yodonna as "Yodon". This reminds me of the finale scene of Kamen Rider Black RX where Black RX refers to Colonel Dasmader as "Grand Lord Crisis" before their final duel. Yodonna insists to be called as Yodon. Meanwhile, Yodon sends non-verbal commands unlike earlier on when the Emperor spoke to Yodonna in an audible voice. 

The Tooth Decay Jaman grants instant tooth decay. Ouch! I'd hate to have him hit me. This monster has an obvious weak spot and it's the cavity. Worse, it can only be truly dealt with the Shiny Breaker's Drill Mode. The intense cavity has affected Sena, Sayo, and Tametomo in the process.

 

It's no surprise that Garza has found a sneaky way. The fourth Garnerstone has created an illusion that traps Takamichi in regret. Meanwhile, the REAL Garza takes advantage of the situation of the other rangers suffering from tooth decay. Kiramei Red uses his imagination by giving Dashark took decay AND bringing Garza there. 

Kiramei Blue uses the Shiny Breaker's drill to defeat Tooth Decay Jamen. There's no giant mecha battle for this week. The spell is broken but there's more to this episode than none. Kiramei Silver and Garza have their duel. It's revealed that Garza already planned to kill Takamachi with the Grand Duel of Crystalia for a very long time. No wonder King Oradin stopped their Grand Duel before!

The Kiramagers could've completed the collection BUT the fourth Granterstone falls into Yodonna's hands. Yodonna appears to stop the duel and orders a retreat. So, I wonder how does Yodonna serve as Yodon's vessel anyway? I mean, Yodon even calls Yodonna by name! It's very similar to that episode in Black RX when Grand Lord Crisis is first heard of and Dasmader was among those bowing to him. 

Next week, the emperor reveals the third part of himself called Shadon. Shadon claims to be the emperor's messenger but is he? Turns out that the emperor has more than one host body as revealed by his form that he had another mask. Hopefully, both Yodonna and Shadon are separate bodies while being uniquely part of the emperor. I just wonder how the Kiramagers can deal with a fearsome foe with two host bodies?
