Kiramager's Yodonna Throws Back To Psychorror From Sharivan And Dasmader From Black RX

Just because there's no episode for Kiramager this week doesn't mean I can't write a post about it, right? Okay, there will be spoilers ahead IF you haven't watched some old-school Tokusatsu or the most recent Kiramager episode. But if you've seen loads of older Tokusatsu (which should also include old school Showa-era Kamen Rider series), the Space Sheriff Trilogy (specifically Sharivan), or you just don't mind spoilers then be my guest.

One weird scene in the latest episode of Kiramager is the revelation about Yodonna. If you've watched it then you may notice some really intense scenes. Yodonna wonders why Carantula has talked with Emperor Yodon face to face while she hasn't. Later, it's revealed that she's actually a part of Emperor Yodon which she's not even aware of. So, she's got her own personality but she's also a part of Emperor Yodon. She's shocked to find that out. I think Emperor Yodon has to use Yodonna as one of his vessels before he can fully use his immense power. Why Emperor Yodon would use a feminine vessel is just as strange as Igam pretending to be a prince in Maskman.

Sharivan introduced that cameo guy, the bald guy who was simply labeled as Umibozu. The guy was played by stuntman Kazuyoshi Yamada who served as the suit actor for Juspion, Spielban, and Metalder. Who was that strange bald stalker who appeared every now and then? It just felt like a random cameo yet why does this bald dude appear in places where Den Iga is? Why is he making random appearances?

It turned out that Demon King Psycho of Madou actually possessed two separate lives. Umibozu reveals his monster form known as Personification of Psycho, Psychorror. Psychorror couldn't be defeated by standard means. The same trait was passed to Dasmader whom Black RX tried to defeat by standard means. What was amazing was when Demon King Psycho would bring back Psychorror. Both Demon King Psycho and Psychorror had to be destroyed together by Gavan and Sharivan in order to bring the end of Madou. It seems that Yodonna also serves the same purpose as Psychorror -- as the personification of Yodon except in female form!

If you've seen Black RX then you may know the character of Colonel Dasmader. Dasmader is sent by Grand Lord Crisis because the Crisis Empire's moronic commanders just can't invade the Earth. Well, it's typical for Toku villains to really be THAT STUPID which is part of the fun. It's almost similar to why the Creation King gave telepathic orders to the Gorgom High Priests (who loved to cook up unbelievably convoluted plans) to release Bilgenia from his coffin. In the case of Yodonna, she's sent because the moronic commanders of Yodonheim can't really  get their job done in most cases. Garza does have some good plans but ends up screwing it over. Yodonna ends up showing up in the same role as Dasmader -- as an imperial inspector! 

Later episodes of Black RX reveal that Dasmader is actually a vessel of their moronic leader, Grand Lord Crisis. Dasmader apparently has a personality of his own as he spoke and acted like he was a human, unlike Psychorror. We can see in the finale episodes that he was clearly bowing down before the voice of his master -- the same say Yodonna was able to have a conversation with Emperor Yodon with the Yodon Changer.
