King-Ohger 25: Let's Form That ClusterF*** Ultrazord With Chosen Civilians

This week's King-Ohger episode is the second to the last episode for a new second half. I don't know what Toei is thinking about. With my rant where I dared ask if King-Ohger was a celebratory season after all - I even wonder what's next. This season features the almost near-mandatory clusterf*** Ultrazord that was first presented in Boukenger (and Operation Overdrive called the first 12-piece Megazord an Ultrazord) and got into other seasons like Go-Onger, Shinkenger, ToQGer, Ninninger, Zyuohger, and Lupinranger vs. Patranger. I kinda miss the time when Ultrazords were simpler such as when Turboranger used the Turbobuilder or when Zyuranger used a carrier mecha. I guess Toei, Bandai (and in extension Saban and now Hasbro) all figured out that mecha sales meant more money for the three of them to share!

The beginning has Gemojim going haywire. This has Jeramie confronting his partner. Both of them have a talk. Jeramie is too much na idealist. Being a king means being willing to bear the burden of life or get your hands dirty if need be. Come on, being a king also means going to war to protect your citizens!

Since Desnarak VIII is at the Earth's core - it would be a very dangerous thing. It's really going to be that hot and they need some Science Fiction plot to survive it. The solution is to create the Ultrazord which can't be that Ultra IF it can only withstand magma for 79 seconds. Please, the Dinosaur Guardians in Zyuranger are all powered by MAGMA! Since King-Ohger has its own continuity then I guess Toei decided to skip that detail. Most Super Sentai Zords tend to be sensitive to magma as a balancing act of sorts.

Trying to find the best civilian pilots to help the rangers isn't an easy task. It just can't be anyone but only those the Shugods will choose. Okay, since when did Zords start doing that? Only here in King-Ohger right? I guess some fans will get the chance to fight alongside their heroes except they're MOSTLY ADULTS. It can't be just anyone but they have to be CHOSEN by the Shugods!

I kinda didn't get surprised at the choices. They're the closest friends of the rangers. It's no surprise that Edda also gets to be one of them. I did wish that Edda had a bumbling younger brother like Betty did in Beast Morphers Yeah, it's because Erica Murakami kinda looks like Jacqueline Scislowki and most of the Beast Morphers cast feel they should've been playing the citizens of Ishabana. Back on track, it's no surprise that Yanma's closest pals Shiokara, Akka, Usaba, and Mayuta. Kaguragi has help from his younger sister Suzume and his personal servant Kuroda. Morfonia is unsurprisingly chosen to aid Rita Repulsa errrr Kaniska. Rita does get another migraine like "mother dearest".

It's no surprise that Douga is also chosen. Yet, theyre all missing one pilot. It's really not an easy task since they can't afford to sacrifice any more lives. It's like how Gira said that the people are GEARS. It's a very strange pun but I get it. Douga does mention his wife and son who we are yet to see. Some people do mention their families who are usually off-screen in several shows.

Kogane and Boon both end up getting chosen too. Boon does get verified without the sword glowing or what? Kogane does accompany her little brother. Is this really some kind of hint of accompanying one's little brother to a fan event like Tokuspirts or Morphicon? I even feel like Boon is almost like that lucky child who gets chosen to meet the rangers. Meanwhile, the others simply feel like, "Let's relive our childhood!"

This is one incredibly huge team. Hopefully, they don't get to wear spandex and simply continue to act as moral support. Several Kamen Rider seasons since Kamen Rider BLACK RX had non-henshin heroes helping the ally. For all the flak BLACK RX gets (and I'm a fan of it even if I agree it's MESSY) - it's pretty much a rough draft for concepts like multiple forms, a car (which Kamen Rider Drive did MUCH BETTER), and the civilian allies that help out the main hero.

The fight goes below the Earth with one minute and 19 seconds. They have to get Desnarak VIII out of the Earth. I wonder where is Kamejim in all of this? Is he going to survive for the second half? I'm really curious where it'd go. The fight goes to the surface but then...

We just launched the Ultrazord and HE SURVIVES? Turboranger did put Ragorn inactive after he was hit by the Super Turbobuilder. Dai Satan did escape the initial attack of Kyukyoku Daizyujin then was destroyed in the finale. I guess Desnarak VIII surviving the Ultrazord was predictable Keeping him alive for the conclusion of the first half was PLAIN NECESSARY!

What happens next will conclude the Bugnarok arc. Jeramie will become the king and hope to unify the kingdoms. This will also take place for a new second half which will give a new chapter. I'm really getting nervous and excited. I do hear that King-Ohger is trending in Japan. I was afraid that the flak that Kamen Rider Saber received (initially) would also hit King-Ohger. Both have the vibes of Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog - Saber more so. Saber did get a good 7.1/10 in MyDramaList and that's good for me. I agree Saber was messy but like BLACK RX and B-Fighter Kabuto - it's an enjoyable mess!
