Ryusoulger 27: The Unrivaled Fists

Well, I guess I'm not taking my Ryusoulger break after all. Instead, I decided to do some slowdown with the posts if necessary. This week's episode continues to show how we're getting more Whateversauruses into the show. Somehow, the producers are probably not too pleased with the idea of kicking in dinosaurs and may have rebelled by giving us another Whateversaurus. Now, moving on.

There's the search for another Dino Knight. This time, Tyramigo gives a bit of an exposition on Pachygaroo.

Tyramigo breaks Pachygaroo from his slumber. However, Pachygaroo starts to roar. It's revealed that it wants to be reunited with its child Chibigaroo.

Meanwhile, there's some conflict going on. So how Gachileus even survived is beyond me. As said, you've got to suspend your disbelief in several levels when watching Tokusatsu. Meanwhile, Wizeru has the plan to make the host Chika suffer even more -- bring up the spirits and crash it later.

There's a bit of argument here. Apparently, Nada doesn't like the idea of Koh going into that hole because the subordinates must protect the leader. However, Koh as the leader thinks he must do those tasks. This gets me conflicted. Sometimes, a subordinate must enter and let the leader guide that person. However, Koh jumps into it for the sake of the others.

Chibigaru can talk like Tyramigo does. How he got stuck down there is still a mystery. Koh starts to learn to interact with Chibigaru.

Creon is now trying to pull that trick to enlarge the Menasaur. I just love how Ryusoul Green, Ryusoul Black, and Ryusoul Gold try to counter the threat. However, they have to fail for the show to go on until its intended finale, right?

Now, for a bit of the stunts side again. I wonder how did they film this one? Green screen? Maybe, maybe not. But the rocks seem to be CGI but it looks like Hayato Ichinose is really climbing up. I hope that the stunt doubles or whoever is there to catch him every time he slipped down here. I guess people know by now of incidents such as Hiroshi Fujioka's leg injury during the first Kamen Rider or when Allison McInnis hurt herself in one of the filming days of Lightspeed Rescue.

Melt and Asuna are surprised to find Gachileus alive. This results in yet another intense fighting scene. TBH, I kinda like the whole, "I thought you were dead!" gag when it comes to people who you think have died but haven't.

I just love this scene when Koh decides to risk himself to give the Bandai merchandise to the others. Maybe not -- it's reckless to throw a child like that to the top. Granted, it's a Dino Knight and it's made of metal so maybe not.

Creon does manage to finally get the host Chika to fall into despair. This enlarges the Dodomeki Menasaur.

Ryusoul Blue goes into the area where Pacchygaroo is. Turns out that Pachygaroo has a pouch for a MALE. Most marsupials only have the females to have pouches. So why is it that this male kangaroo (if ever) has a pouch? If that's the case I think Pachygaroo should be written as female as Chibigaroo as male. Remember how Roger Jr. in Tekken fights in his mother's pouch?

I love the punching scene that happens as Ryusoul Blue does get focus. I have to admit that red-centricity can be a problem for Super Sentai too. It has happened several times though I think Kyoryuger, Zyuohger, and Kyuranger (and Lucky is really Lone Starr in Spandex) did it way too much. Ryusoul Blue gets some focus too though merchandise-wise -- it seems to be too focused on Ryusoul Red and Ryusoul Gold.

Time for a bit of a punching match. Kishiryuoh Pachygaroo is created. Fortunately, it's not merging with Tyramigo all the time. It was getting really irritating already! They do have a classic boxing match to end the giant battle.

Meanwhile, this makes me WTF with Kishiryuoh SITS on a building like a chair. There seems to be a lot of inconsistency. Wouldn't sitting on these buildings destroy it? Then again, much technology has changed from the 80s (where buildings were way easily destroyed) to 2019. So, I guess today's Japanese buildings can now withstand giant Megazords sitting on them!

Meanwhile, Canaro's unrequited love is getting stale. I can't decide which gets old faster between my corny jokes or this one. Canaro is still looking for a bride. However, I think he's becoming annoying really quick in that regard. I wonder if writers will attempt to match him up with Asuna? Crack!

Meanwhile, there are still some lingering mysteries with the cursed armor Gaisoulg. Gachileus says that he would break the armor. Meanwhile, Gaisoulg says he can't even take off the armor. Is the series now and actually confirming that the Super Sentai Strongest Battle is not canon? I think so. Granted, most Super Sentai series happen in their own continuity like the now-discontinued Super Robot Anime. Super Sentai Strongest Battle like the now-discontinued Super Hero Taisen should be treated as what-if scenarios -- just like the Super Robot Wars games.

Next week, a Menasaur enters Asuna. This just reminds me of the Jetman episode where a Bio Dimensional Beast entered into Aya Odagiri's systems. Hmmm... looks like I wouldn't be taking a break from Ryusoulger after all!
