As expected, this is the week that concludes the gathering of the Zenkaigers. I'm still thinking about the rather underappreciated  Kabutack and Robotack - both series that caused the Metal Hero franchise to be canceled in the late 90s. Is Toei trying to revisit the concepts? Also, in this episode, we have Vroom the final member who starts to make me think of Optimus Primal from the Beast Wars season of The Transformers .  The series starts off by revealing how lowly people can get in the Tojitend Empire. Vroom questions Professor Ijirude about the release of the different worlds. The policy is to kill any member of the empire who discovers what Bokkowaus doesn't want to be discovered.  A new half-brained plan that's launched involves a mosnter known as Boxer World making people fight each other. A wedding is turned into a brawl. A fan-signing event (Where's the social distancing?) turns into a brawl. An old man who eats at the candy store goes berserk.  The interact...

This week's Zenkaiger is pretty much where I'd like to throw a lot of jokes related to Hikonin Sentai   Akibaranger (Nobuo Akagi) or maybe even Troy from Power Rangers Megafail . It's because Magine is that shiny robot girl. Who can ever forget how Nobuo fell for a shiny robot girl? In the case of Troy - it's because he's more robotic than even Roboknight in the biggest Power Rangers fiasco ever.  Gaon is presented to be a good chef. I can't tell exactly what they're cooking there TBH but it does look tasty.  This week's episode gives us some interesting notes. I really laugh at how the Zenkaigers came in unprepared for that (typical in earlier episodes). There have been some old plots of trying the freeze the Earth though. The plan is already getting old but still entertaining nonetheless! Meanwhile, Kikanoids do have lives similar to humans. Zyuon and Magine were neighbors. This week's episode features the second person ahem Kikanoid to join the Zenkaigers. I'm getting some old-school nostalgia in this episode. This week features Gaon after his cameo. Also, blink and you will miss that there are cameos of Magine and Vroon in this episode.  TBH, I do feel some cartoony humor whenever Bokkowaus gets mad. I do get reminded of how Horde Prime in She-Ra: Princess of Power gets mad. Bokkowaus gets mad at both Ijirude and Barashitara for their failures. Now, it's time to launch another attack with mushrooms.  How are monsters created? Barashita (and he really has some parts of Gien from Timeranger used) creates the new monster called Kinoko World. A grunt called Kudakk gets the Gear and they get that power. There's a bit of throwback to Goggle V in this scene. I guess only older fans of Super Sentai will be able to recognize it. This scene has a mushroom-themed monster and the use of the Goggle V's powers. The ribbon was Miki's weapon. Hm...

Well, it's the first episode of Zenkaiger, right? Granted, I've seen a lot of old school and new school Super Sentai so I don't know if I've really hit the taste fatigue zone or not. I'm now thinking about how Toei can sometimes be fond of making viewers decide for themselves or troll the viewers in one way or another. This season's first episode starts to get a bit of history in the detail. The beginning narration starts with the Super Sentai worlds getting contained. It's interesting to have Goranger , then Zyuranger , then Kiramager as the featured series. Is there some kind of purpose behind this one? Zyuranger was the first series to be localized into the Power Rangers franchise. Coincidence to have Zyuranger featured? Maybe, maybe not. The main hero Kaito tries to do a bungee jump. TBH, I really don't blame the police for stopping him. It's just too dangerous. What in the world is he thinking? I wonder if this is a PSA to impressionable childr...
