Some Old Boukenger Pictures

Image
Here are some rather old but nice Boukenger pictures. Enjoy. A behind-the-scenes photo of the Boukenger cast for the movie. A magazine scan with another group picture taking. They're charming us with happy faces. A CD cover scan. Chise Nakamura just reminds me of my old nemesis who stole hamburgers from me in this photo.

Goseiger 22- Over the Rainbow

Image
This particular episode shows the development between the Goseigers and Goseiknight. Hmmm... Slowly but surely, the Goseigers are getting to know each other. The monster Uuzobu reminds me of Boukenger's giant evil dragon mecha in episode two. He is one who battled Gosei Knight in the past and it takes some effort with the Goseigers to stop him. Eventually we see another combination where Gosei Great and Gosei Ground combine into Ground Gosei Great. This is now something cooler than the Hyper Gosei Great IMO. :-P

Other Methods by Sentai Villains to Trigger A Giant Battle

Image
Ever since Battle Fever J, the villains have gotten smarter to launch a giant battle. Hee hee. Anyway here are the other methods that didn't involve a monster enlarging agent: Egos of Battle Fever J sends a giant replica to replace the fallen foes. The Deathtopia sends a giant replica (but not the first four episodes) to revive the fallen monster (which is presumably not dead) to do battle with the Goggle V. The method was somewhat reused in Dekaranger but theirs was a criminal of the week though. Some monsters were automatically enlarged when defeated. This was seen in Denziman, Sun Vulcan, Dynaman, Jetman, Kakuranger, Gogo V, Timeranger, some Alienizers in Dekaranger, Magiranger, Gekiranger, Go-onger and Shinkenger. In Bioman when the Juunoid gets defeated (and they retreat), the New Empire Gear sends a giant monster which at times, was just a desperation measure or at times, was involved in the plot to take over the world. Later on, the assigned member of the Big Three pilo...

Monster Enlarging Agents in Super Sentai

Image
Somehow this has crossed my mind today that there have been troopers who were monster-enlarging agents in Super Sentai. They range from those who are "just sent" to those who play a more important position. Just sent to do the job: Gyodai in Changeman- He would appear when the Change Bazooka made its move to enlarge the defeated monster of the Gozma. However he ended up befriending the Changemen. Kuragen- A giant jellyfish monster that shrinks itself when it enlarges the monster. Gender unknown. Okerampa- As great as Maskman as a series was, Okerampa was a pretty underdeveloped character. He had no backstory or anything nor did he participate in any battles. Those with a role: Guardnoid Gash of Liveman was more than just a monster enlarger, he was actually Dr. Bias' loyal bodyguard. In Turboranger, the generals themselves were the monster enlarging agents. Rehda used his magic flute, Zimba used a tornado, Jarmin breathed out a serpent-shaped fire out ...

Do These Sentai Actresses Have A Good Amount of Mixed Heritage?

Image
I don't know but I think some of these cast members have some mixed blood in them. They are: Michiko Makino- When I saw her in Bioman, I kind of thought that she doesn't look very Japanese to me. Natsuki Takahashi- I kind of thought that despite the fact she is casted as a half-Chinese character, she doesn't look very Oriental to me. I even thought that Takahashi may not be her real surname and that she's actually half-Western. Juri Miyazawa- She looks kind of like she's half-Caucasian. Ayumi Kinoshita- For some reason, her skin seems to be kind of the American feel. Rin Takanashi- I even feel that she doesn't look very Japanese. Is it her eyes? Even her skin quality isn't very Japanese either IMO. I think she has the type of beauty similar to former Hong Kong actress Isabella Leong Nolasco de Silva. Mihiko Niwa- She doesn't look very Japanese either. Rika Satoh- I find her beauty to be kind of typical Taiwanese. I wonder if her mother is Taiwanese...
