This week's Kyuranger wraps up one arc and begins another. This is the end of Scorpio (so I wonder what happened) and the beginning of the Argo. Speaking of the Argo, I can't help but think of the Argos in Jason and the Argonauts.  I don't know what to think about the whole arc of Stinger and Scorpio wrapping up too fast. My favorite part of the story is how Scorpio does a Darth Vader. He pretty much ends up regretting everything he's done and returns the Kyu Globes to Scorpio. Yes, it's a sad fate but Scorpio had to pay for his sins. His last act of redemption is to cure Stinger.  So really Don Armage what took you so long to show yourself to the Kyurangers? The power of Don Armage is shown. As of right now, I assume he might be some powerful sorcerer from Earth and maybe pieces of information are found on Earth. He shows how dangerous he can get. Hopefully, he can show a more dangerous side of him. I guess we're having a mystery to who Don Armage ...

While watching Changeman, I thought of who my favorite would be. I thought I could relate more to Yuuma Oozora or to Shou Hayate but I ended up picking Hiryu Tsurugi. Yes, Hiryu and the actor Haruki Hamada together with the suit actor Kazuo Niibori (who I never knew until Akibaranger) do a good job portraying the character. So what's up with him as the leader of the Change team and how did he become my personal favorite? Just read and find out about this amazing guy. I could talk about how he may be a forerunner to Jetman's Ryu Tendo . Both characters are reliable leaders yet they have their own personal issues to deal with. He tends to put duty above feelings but there are times his feelings gets the best of him. This sort of clashes with Shou (who could be a forerunner to Gai Yuki in some way) though the conflict is more of how to run a mission. I just finished Dengeki Sentai Changeman and added it to my list of Super Sentai series I've watched from start to end. I admit that I'm enjoying Kyuranger and I can't wait for tomorrow's episode. On the other hand, I've just watched more of Changeman with subs courtesy of  LordTranza33 . I had some grueling moments downloading it but I came out victorious in the end. So let's get started shall we? Warning! There are some spoilers ahead unless you're a spoiler addict like me! I remembered how often Shogo B'Stard praises this show. I see why he would. Although I've had some varying opinion differences with him and yes, we "clash" at certain moments since I like Timeranger, Hurricanger, and Boukenger when he doesn't. But I could agree with him with Changeman as a really innovative series. Kyuranger is getting intense for me. Last week was a bit silly though Scorpio himself now has his plans to assassinate Don Armage. Stinger still feels the guilt (and we see Champ still being repaired) for what happened.  Scorpio resigns from the Kyurangers in a mission to set things straight. Worse, he uses a dangerous technique called Antares. I find this to be nightmare fuel. True older Super Sentai had some nightmare fuel. This one took advantage of the digital age's technology to put at least some of it. Stinger goes crazy and tries to kill his evil older brother to redeem himself. More Consumarz arrive on Earth. So why in the world would Don Armage want to destroy Earth? Come on, didn't Space 18 show that Kyuranger is an entirely different Universe ? I just assume until now that Don Armage is from Earth. I guess all his dark secrets are hidden there including how he could be destroyed. Anyway, Scorpio proceeds to manipulate the public. I hate to admit it b...

I could remember watching the original Ucchuu Keiji Gavan. Years later, I remembered watching Dekaranger and I don't feel it's a great loss skipping Power Rangers SPD and not watching it. It's 2017 and two shows back from the past come back in a more mature fashion. The show has the violence that I saw in Gavan but not in Dekaranger. I felt Dekaranger was somewhat "lacking" from the badass action I've seen in most 80s-90s Super Sentai. I'd like to write what I felt about the movie which takes place in an alternate universe .  The movie focuses on the legacy of the two Gavans namely Retsu Ichijouji and Geki Jumonji. Zaido has no right to take part of the glorious legacy of the Space Sheriffs. If they should appear in the movie they should just make a terrible cameo where they get blown up for their incompetence. Geki shows he may not be perfect, he's pretty rash and he really did some stupid things but he's more than enough to rip off the Za...

I wanted to write this topic last week but I decided to take a short break from this blog. I still can't get my head off Space 18 where it's verified Kyuranger takes place in another Universe. This further backs up my Multiverse Theory  where Toei's shows usually take place in a separate continuity. Some of them may be direct and/or indirect sequels to each other while most of them happen to be in their own continuity for a reason. If you think Super Sentai was originally meant to take place in the same Universe then you need to take a closer look. The VS. Movies tend to have events that contradict series proper. Most series tend to act independently from each other. You can have the same motif but they act independently. Let's take for example. It's usually a fresh new start for most story writing I always wondered what role would the Dekarangers and Gavan have in a Universe taken over by Jark Matter. The answer turned out to be none. Super Hero Taisen is back after a week without it. But I think I'll focus on weekly episode reviews for now since I'm focusing on other stuff. Let's get started shall we? In this episode, the Kyurangers are trying to find the Carina Kyu Globe so they activate the Orion. But things aren't getting any better for the heroes leading to what could be an epic clash. The monster of the week is known as Olmega. He's currently the monster of the week ruling over the Planet Keel. The people in this planet look like natives. He does look like some kind of weird ancient Incan or Mayan sculpture. I guess it's only fitting to put him in this episode. I can't help but remember game show called Legends of the Hidden Temple during the 90s.  The planet feels like a planet of cosplayers.
