Well, it's time for what I'd call an unenthusiastic wrap-up and review of Ryusoulger's last three episodes. Am I suffering Super Sentai taste fatigue for the nth time? Was my viewing for other shows on Netflix getting in the way? Is Ryusoulger, well, #RyusouBoring? Can't really say but I'd like to share my final thoughts. If you liked the finale then fine - I respect that! Let's just be respectful, okay?  So it turns out that Wizeru is still alive and later, we'd discover that Pricious is still alive (but heavily injured) in the finale too. The Druidons aren't even well-established once you think about it. Then there's some random revelations which I think is well, random. At this point, I feel like that while Kamen Rider Zero-One is indeed pleasing me - the same can't be said for Ryusoulger in the long run. Is it me or are there a dozen coincidences just everywhere? Come to think about it Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive turned 20 last year and Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue is turning 20 this year. Yet, both shows somehow owe two more shows (and I think they get underappreciated) namely Chikyu Sentai Fiveman and Tokkei Winspector which celebrate their 30th anniversary this year   The Metal Hero franchise has been long plugged though its spirit somehow lives on in Heisei era Kamen Rider up to the present . However, I don't want to deny how Winspector and Fiveman were aired on the same year - something that we'd like to acknowledge whether we like it or not! Fiveman and Winspector can be viewed as a clash IMHO. Fiveman (like it or not) was notorious for being known as Hirohisa Soda's burnout , and as the series that nearly ended Super Sentai (and I was shocked to learn that years later). It's time for some #FlashbackFridays if there's also #ThrowbackThursdays. Sometimes, I just don't feel too comfortable with most post Go-Busters Super Sentai - maybe except for Kyuranger and Lupinranger vs. Patranger for my taste. Sure, those two aren't really top masterpieces for me but I admit that I give them huge points for trying something much newer than the fourth dinosaur Super Sentai, Ryusoulger. Then, I decided to look back when the Year 2000 happened which would be the final year of the 20th century and the beginning of the 2000s. We've had the 2010s and today it's the beginning of the 2020s. I might be kind of old-fashioned with Tokusatsu (though I do love newer Kamen Rider) and I'd love to take a trip back in time. It's no secret that Kishinryu Sentai Ryusoulger only has two episodes left (I'll just summarize the last three episodes) before it ends, right? Well, I remembered times when I tend to be overly excited only to have it backfire or get disappointed, right? I can't say what I should do between keeping expectations lower as possible or what? There's the excitement that Naruhisa Arakawa is about to become Mashin Sentai Kiramager 's head writer. Is it me or is there that inevitable time that any good writer will eventually burn out ? That is when it happens - you can expect the quality of work has become lesser no matter how new it is. We can take a look at Arakawa's projects back in the past. Remember how he had an Old Shame with the Chojin Sentai Jetman episode involving Dryer Jigen? I still think his Kamen Rider Black episode with the Golden Bug Mutant was all that good either. A lot of Super Sentai series usually don't have official pairings but some come close to it. Others do tend to tease audiences with possible shippings like how Shinkenger may have triggered the whole Takeru x Mako ship vs. Takeru x Kotoha ship (she did turn 18 during the show so it's legal). Then I think of one crack ship I like to try is Keiichiro x Tsukasa. It's past Valentine's Day but I don't see any reason why I can't write this outrageous pairing. The show (in earlier episodes) seemed to be shipping them even if they never got lovey-dovey. Episode 4  started to show their past together. Keiichiro secretly knew about Tsukasa's fondness for stuffed animals - which in turn resulted in him figuring out how the teleportation devices work. TBH, I kinda wish we got a scene where Keiichiro gives Tsukasa a stuffed animal! The flashback of their earlier days is also something. Today is Valentine's Day and somehow it's become the norm to tease someone for being dateless. Well, some Super Sentai heroes are just hopeless romantics. I'd like to make a list of them just right here... Shou Hayate/Change Griffin Before there was Gai Yuki - there was Shou Hayate, right? He joined the military to impress the ladies which is just dumb. So, why didn't he get a mandatory haircut because his hair doesn't fit in? This guy did also nearly court Queen Ahames in disguise too. Also, there seems to be some shipping between him and Sakura. Dai/Green Flash While not really a womanizer - he does have a weak spot for women. He did fall in love with a flower shop owner who was never mentioned again. Well, Ryusoulger will have three more episodes to go, right? This week features more of Eras' history. So, what's really going on? It does focus on getting the heart from Pricious back. So, what's next? So, it turns out that Master Black was pretending to be Saden. I really find the flashback to be kind of weird with how Saden was slain by an UNMORPHED Master Black. Master Black would later infiltrate but his heart was taken by Pricious. He lead the Ryusoulgers out of some shortcut - something Pricious would later discover later. So how do you call upon Setoh's spirit possessing Naohisa within Ryusoulger's lore? Master Black wants to hear more of the past. However, trying to access Setoh is just really tough. Apparently, Setoh only appears when the situation is really in need of it. More lore is revealed that the past and sealing away Eras. So, it turns out that the Kishinryu also allowed themselves to be sealed. However, Eras is now getting more power. ...
