  It's no secret that I have had shifting preferences between Turboranger and Carranger . It's really THAT obvious that Carranger does take some pointers from Turboranger even if both shows have some glaring differences. Both Turboranger and Carranger also suffer from lower ratings. Turboranger was the beginning of the decline of Hirohisa Soda. Soda would later do some episodes for Carranger as a secondary writer. Carranger hardly raised ratings up since Ohranger's low ratings. Both shows suffered from rating drop yet were somewhat vindicated by history. Carranger DVD sales by Shout! Factory led to the Megaranger DVD sales. Turboranger may have also been vindicated over time as more people got to really follow it in spite of the glaring flaws.  Back on topic...   Kiramager has only ended with 45 episodes since the Legacy Virus pandemic left us with a lot of casualties. So what happens is that a Sentai series that was supposed to have more than 45 episodes (at most) ends up a bit rushed but not as rushed as Dengekitai JAKQ which lasted for only 35 episodes or most Power Rangers seasons. Amazingly, Power Rangers Lost Galaxy only had 45 episodes too! So, let's get into the finale, shall we? The big dilemma is the weakness behind Emperor Yodon's mask. The mask can't be broken. Carantula reveals that the emperor usually removes his mask only when he devours his opponents. I was thinking about the past few announcements that there will be a movie for Kiramager, another movie for Ryuosoulger, AND the intro movie for Zenkaiger. I thought that Toei Ltd. wasn't pushing through with a crossover with Kiramager and Ryusoulger. Turns out that April 29, 2021, will have a limited cinematic release and a DVD to follow. Yup, I got that news from reading UkiyaSeed's blog . Now for photographic evidence from Dengeki Hobby Web  that the movie is indeed going to take place... and Yodonna seems to be acting as a movie director in this crossover film. I almost feel like thinking about Shinkenger's OVA which was a crazy movie studio set. It would be very interesting to see the movie production go on. What interests me is to see that sword fight between Bamba and Shiguru. It's also quite funny to see Canalo (yes him) finally attempt to flirt with Yodonna to his disaster. I just want to see how Canalo will once again cause trouble to himself or how Sena, Sayo...

It's not very uncommon in the superhero genre (or how heroes in the past wrote under obvious pen names before the birth of comic book heroes) where the hero keeps their alter-ego secret. Toei Ltd. did work with Marvel Comics, Marvel Comics later had a license with Saban Ltd. in the 90s (and Toei Ltd. followed up too), Disney (and strangely, Disney had the Power Rangers license from Toei Ltd.), and Toei Ltd. also worked as animation studio for Hasbro then Hasbro currently has the rights to the Power Rangers franchise. That show in the late 1980s was Kosoku Sentai Turboranger -- the first Super Sentai entry that dealt with teenagers with attitude instead of mostly mature heroes. Sure, some teenagers did join the group such as  Hikari Sentai Maskman had   Akira and Chojin Sentai Jetman had Ako Hayasaka. The concept was later revived in Denji Sentai Megaranger . While rewatching Kosoku Sentai Turboranger - I thought that one thing I didn't notice was the flashback in its 40th episode. It's this flashback of Yamimaru with an infant Kirika and the two Skull Monsters that raised her in the 1970s. I just can't help but agree with Shogo B'Stard when he says the following in this  episode review : The really big problem for me. When Yamimaru is explaining the motivation behind his plan to the Turboranger, we're shown a clip of Yamimaru in old times, walking with bloodied feet. He's not alone, though, he's wandering the land with the skull monsters who raised Kirika, who have with them BABY KIRIKA! What fucking sense does this make? The skull monsters raised Kirika as a baby in the human world starting in the early '70s. So how and why and what are they doing walking the earth with Yamimaru? Also: Yamimaru didn't know shit about Kirika, even when she was appearing to him in prophetic dreams! He pretty much chanced ...

Just hearing about Shinichiro Shirakura as a lead producer for Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger can be very concerning. The track record of Shirakura as a producer (or assistant producer) for Super Sentai and Kamen Rider are as follows - Chojin Sentai Jetman (from episode 30 as an assistant producer), Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger , Gosei Sentai Dairanger , Kamen Rider Agito , Kamen Rider Ryuki , Kamen Rider Faiz , Kamen Rider Hibiki (after episode 30), Kamen Rider Den-O , Kamen Rider Decade , Ucchu Sentai Kyuranger , and Kamen Rider Zi-O. He was also notable for his involvement in the Super Hero Taisen franchise ( which he unplugged ), the rather underappreciated Kamen Rider Shin movie, and the brutal Kamen Rider Amazons mini-series. Granted, I've watched most of them, I feel like I might need to take a break from Super Sentai - it's getting evident by how dispassionate I became with the franchise from 2013-2016 and then back again in 2019.   One more episode and we're done, right? Kiramager has managed to distract me away from Kamen Rider Saber for a good reason -- better pacing and not too much is introduced all at once . Moving forward, we're having an episode that nearly resembles the finale arc of Boukenger when the Boukengers felt that Satoru had died. Juuru is assumed dead but no surprise -- he's alive! Naruhisa Arakawa is now taking the mantle after so many episodes new writers are given their chance. Hopefully, these new writers will get head writing projects soon. The Kiramagers are now discussing how they can take down Emperor Yodon. They have three out of the four Garnerstones. The fourth one is with Emperor Yodon. They all want to fight and put the tears for later. They can't let personal emotions get into the way as the final battle is in place. Meanwhile, Yodonna receives her final orders from Emperor Yodon.
