Is Goseiger "Too Kiddie"?

Image
As I've recently opened a poll (I wish for more votes) there's a 5/10 vs. 5/10 battle on whether or not Goseiger is too kiddie or not! Honestly speaking as an adult, I feel like I might be watching a lighter hearted Sentai over Magiranger for a fantasy-based series when watching Goseiger. It seems to be intended to be lighthearted or something though. In fact, I can't even think of what to think about this show as of right now. However all I can say is the Goseigers and their friends are likable, comedy relief or not.

Hypocrisy of Sentai Villains

Image
The thing is Sentai villains justify their evil with the evil of most humanity. But even as a fact, that doesn't give them ANY justification to do what they're doing- two wrongs doesn't make a right! The reason why monsters of the week have to be killed is because life is to be paid with life and if murderers aren't dealt with, they'll wreck more havoc. Here are a few of those villains: Ragorn and his minions justify their attacks because many humans are uncaring and selfish as if they're not. A good example of this hypocrisy was when Professor Rehda unleashed Licking Bouma- they condemn humans for pollution yet they return pollution more. Radiguet mentioned during his first encounter with Red Hawk that all humans are foolish while Red Hawk disagrees. After all, he's just as selfish and uncaring as most humans he hates. Proofs happen whenever he was marked or something, especially when after feeling a little love from a human girl, still he killed...

Sentai and Teleportations

Image
I kind of thought about teleportation in Sentai. Teleportation was used but not always shown when they entered into their mecha or enter into the shared cockpit (which is in some shows) but what intrigued me more is that was in Turboranger episode 51.   Why? In the final episode of Turboranger, we see the Turborangers bathing themselves into light and entering into Ragorn's fortress for the final battle. We didn't have that in Zyuranger which was the footage source for MMPR. In most cases, we can assume they used an emergency teleport to safety just as the enemies would sometimes teleport away, I assume it uses a LOT of energy to do so so it's used sparingly by both sides. However, some enemies had no problem teleporting left and right using less energy like for example, Psygorn in Bioman.   In MMPR, the rangers were frequently teleported and it became a signature for MMPR-Turbo. Later on, that was totally omitted for some reason unknown. Maybe it got annoying.

Eri's A Strawberry Girl

Image
Goseiger 13 somehow shows Eri is a sweet lady and this picture of her with vanilla ice cream and strawberries. Hmmm is she the strawberry girl for Goseiger? A minute later, she shows a rather heartwarming smile which makes her to be the cheery, bright optimistic girl.

Kazunari Hirota as a Martial Arts Teacher

Image
Here are some photos of Kazunari Hirota as a martial arts teacher. Here's Blue Mask demonstrating more of swordsmanship since Hikari Sentai Maskman ended up to the time these photos were taken. :-P Too bad though he never appeared in Dairanger or Gekiranger even as a guest. BTW I wonder who he's married to if he ever is?

Goseiger 13- The Mystic Runner

Image
I kind of thought that Goseiger is becoming more "kiddie" than Shinkenger was, even deaths aren't that violent like they used to. Is Toei planning to port Sentai as it is to the U.S. or what rather than have Power Rangers? Hmmm... Anyway this episode was kind of interesting... There was the mentoring side between Alata and Eri... both members of Skyic Tribe. For some reason, these two look so YOUNG despite the fact they're actually young adults. Hee hee. I don't know but they remind me of Tommy and Kim in MMPR (if they were much younger) aside from Satoru and Sakura as well as Takeru and Mako. Is there a chemistry between Alata and Eri? I feel like teen love is in the air and I'm getting a little bit of MMPR season 1 feel (not really). The episode also focused against Padokaku of the Mutation who is way too strong that caused them to keep training until they got the lightning technique of their tribe right. On the other hand, Bereduran is one kick-ass ...

Why I Think Jetman Got Overrated by Sentai Fans

Image
So far, it still kind of enters into my head why Jetman was my favorite Sentai WAY back or something... or why so many fans enjoyed Jetman. I think it had to do with the fresh writing that had happened within the whole series. So okay, your spandex isn't new, swords aren't new, vehicles aren't new, robots aren't new and there were a LOT of old school elements... yet it seemed to be the best Sentai to many. I can't really think of a good reason except it was fresh and that it gave newer ideas to keep Sentai going and going. I kind of considered Jetman's story telling to be unique. Why? Take the rangers for example. You have one professional ranger over four who aren't. For example, Ryu Tendo develops a rather long rivalry with Guy Yuki as both can't tolerate each other, which was soon intensified because while Guy Yuki liked Kaori Rokumeikan, she liked Ryu Tendo instead. Even comedy relief characters like Raita Ooshi and Ako Hayasaka (who had a ...
