Since it's Friday the 13th so I decided to talk about a few episodes that were really bad luck filled.  These are... Dynaman Episode 29 (Chimera's Cursed Clothes)- This was an episode where Chimera unleashed her voodoo powers on anybody wearing red.  I hope Fantasy Leader can elaborate on this one! Jetman Episode 8 (The Laughing Diamond)- The Bloody Diamond is said to contain a curse which hits its own owners.  In fact, the curse was utilized when Maria turned the diamond into a monster that caused insane greed on people.  Ako was a recipient of its curse but she didn't die. Jetman Episode 19 (I Can See)- Kaori was plagued with visions of bad luck which she thinks could lead to her own death as part of Maria's plan to divide the Jetman.  This was just weird. Boukenger Task 27 (Feng Shui Trap)- The Jakaryuu Talon used the Feng Shui Compass Board to curse Satoru with extreme bad luck.  Ryuon took pleasure in the experience of seeing his hated ...

I got to admit I've been doing some other blogs so I didn't do much weekly reviews.  Sigh but at least Ukiya Seed is keeping up on it somehow.  So here's what I'm thinking... The Gobusters are learning some concept of teamwork and the episodes are somewhat dark.  Why do I feel like it's having the RPM feel even if it doesn't take place in an apocalyptic setting?  Somehow this "Messiah" virus is going to be a major threat to human life.  Also having civilian powers was an idea taken from Dino Thunder but here, there are also special limits.  Hiromu for some reason is afraid of chickens, Learning how to operate the Megazords (Seriously why this name?  LOL) again adds more humanity to the rangers.  I just thought why do they have to have android assistants in them?!  LOL. The Buddyroids have different personalities.  I just thought why were they created?  Nick Cheeda, Banana Gorisaki and Resatsu Usada all have their strong ...

Super Sentai had moral event horizons like it or not.  A moral event horizon is when the villain has crossed the line beyond, that he/she has chosen to do something so despicable that the damage will be so irreparable.  Now here are some moral event horizons I find that were just plain crazy and sharp to hit: Jarmin from Turboranger- Arguably, she's displayed the most cruelty in the show for some.  Her first moral horizon event was when she tricked the two brothers Fire and Ice to merge into one by making them fight with each other in episode 19.  Or another in episode 27, she tortured Chime Bouma in a very unspeakable way which she actually destroyed her people for not serving her and whipped her severely many times.  It was arguably the most cruel act in Turboranger no wonder Zimba is impressed with her. Zeba from Maskman- In the final episode, he is revealed to have little or mercy as he double-crossed his own subordinates to get what he wants. ...

Plot: Magiranger vs. Dekaranger focuses more on the Magiranger side.  The Ozu family must get the Flower of Heaven to which Agent X and Babon plan to wreck havoc on Earth with it.  It's an important artifact to which is entrusted to both Doggie and Swan, who seem to be a couple.  The Dekarangers are involved with the Magirangers in defeating Agent X and Babon. The good: Both Magiranger and Dekaranger are favorites of mine so I can be biased about this review.  Okay maybe not.  I got to admit that the plot is quite good especially when it involves the Magirangers' family ties which ties in to the Dekarangers.  The interaction between both teams is just good even if it wasn't so good at first.  Ban's being a fireball still remains especially how the movie managed to get the Battlizer from Power Rangers SPD and fit it into a real fireball!  It was hilarious how he intervened with Houka's good plan which caused the temporary conflict as well. ...

Dekaranger vs.Abaranger, a crossover series between two of Naruhisa Arakawa's masterpieces and these two happen to be in Fantasy Leader's list of favorite Sentai series.  So now let's get down to this rather amazing special! Plot: The movie is about where Abrella is introduced to Trinoid #40 by Kazakku named Sauginnan to revive two Alienizers namely Succubus and Gennio.  They both plan to revive the Great Evorian God Dezumoryla for revenge.  The Abarangers and Dekarangers must join forces to beat this menace! The good: Knowing Naruhisa Arawaka is a really talented man, he gets his two best shows which creates an entirely dynamic special.  The way the Dekarangers and Abarangers get along is just natural and somewhat realistic.  At first they are in conflict because of different views then they learn to work together.  So let's face it- there is much extreme prejudice between the two groups on how to handle things.  The policemen handle bad guy...

If there are some who are fireballs, rash and so on... here are the airheads I think deserve to be in the list: Miku Imamura- In Megaranger she has a hatred for intellectual stuff. Umeko Kodou/Deka Pink- She's pretty bubbly, naive and feels she's the leader. Houka Ozu/Magi Pink- She's got the habit of getting too many boys at one time.  Yeesh! Natsuki Mamiya/Deka Yellow- She's always blowing things up in the laboratory that's for sure.  Biggest walking disaster ever! Eri/Gosei Pink- She's kinda spacey and dumb.  She DOES improve though as time progresses but let her be close to Natsuki, I smell disaster!

Well I'd like to do some evaluation for what I'd call as Sentai's most crazy moments.  Here are they: Kaoru Shiba's adoption of Takeru.  Well she's a 15 year old adopting her shadow warrior as her son?  I rolled down the floor watching that scene! Gai Ikari can't see Gai Yuki.  While other normal humans like Ryu Tendo could see ghosts, Gai Ikari couldn't see Gai Yuki.  He did see Burai, Mikoto and Naoto and yet why not Gai Yuki?  I guess Gai Ikari likes natto and Gai Yuki doesn't... which could be heavy. The marriage of Jerashid to Noboyuki's mother.  It's just too sudden.  Well there have been some interracial human dating in Super Sentai but the marriage was just too fast. :P Yatsudenwani as CEO of Dino Curry.  That is WAY FUNNIER than Dryer Jigen (who I imagine is now the CEO of a hair salon franchise) getting a job!  How in the world is he now the CEO of Dino Curry he's underaged?
