Granted, this year is Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger's 20th anniversary. Heck, there's even an upcoming 20th-anniversary special fir Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers . I feel both feel weird and I'm not interested in too many reunion specials myself ! Though, Power Rangers has been the guiltier party over Super Sentai in doing the throwbacks too often. This would be a pretty piece of interesting information though. That is one of the best villains in Super Sentai that  may have nearly killed the franchise... FOR STUPID REASONS!  Sometimes, villains end up saving the show. Kosoku Sentai Turboranger crashed with the ratings. Kaiju No Kami mentioned in his review that Turboranger's villains are mostly one-dimensional compared to Yamimaru and Kirika. Chikyu Sentai Fiveman had Chevalier saving the ratings. Just running across this video that says Abare Killer nearly killed Super Sentai is a shocker.  Maybe, that explains his last-minute redemption or the plot twist that some part...

Last year, we had that on/off pink rabbit (and this Chinese New Year will be the Year of the Rabbit). We have the plagiarist in a bunny suit calling itself Naoki Shiina . The rabbit could copy Haruka Kito PERFECTLY. That's just very funny especially when the Manga is so exactly done. If you haven't watched it then beware... SPOILERS! If not, read on if you either don't mind being spoiled (like me) or if you have seen it. As Donbrothers did wrap up its filming - the plot twist can be too predictable. I remembered some forums where people speculated the identity of the bunny. So, now it's time to think about what could be another writing tool namely time travel and alternate timelines. Yeah, it's a common trope, and Toei Ltd. has been copying tropes from Western comics and animation as well. I'm not even surprised at the turn of events that happened.  There had been wild guesses about the bunny suit. Some speculated it's another version of Donbrothers Haruka. ...

I may not like Power Rangers for preferential reasons and  ranted it some time ago . I'm still going to acknowledge that Toei Ltd. has a hand in it, that the blame (if ever) should also go to Toei (not Power Rangers as a franchise) as to why Super Sentai hasn't aired anymore in the Philippines (and ironic that Kamen Rider has been easier to air) or for the licensing fees. Who gave Haim Saban the green light if not Toei? Just watch The Toys That Made Us and see the whole story rather than miss the point. As the 30th anniversary of Power Rangers approaches - I felt like writing this weird rant. It's asking whether or not Toei Ltd. has really been making what almost feels like "unofficial sequels" for Saban Entertainment. Well, here's a Christmas Gift that came and Toei Ltd. has revealed King-Ohger. Okay, I usually rant about an upcoming series when there's a cast reveal already. In my case, I'm just getting a Killer Bored so I'd like to rant on this initial update but no cast yet. I got the news from UkiyaSeed and this is what I've got.   The recent death of Ichiro Mizuki at 74 came today. It turns out he died on December 6, 2022. The agency only announced it presumably out of respect for his family and friends. Right now, I just feel like I want to think about Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters and the short role he played. Also, he was Dr. Ben in Dimension Warrior Spielban . I couldn't help but remember the death of his character, Saburo Hazuki, who might be a tribute to the pen name, Saburo Yatsude.  Missions 35-36 are among the few times when Kento Shimoyama did a good job. Sure, I'll forever associate Shimoyama with the bad job he did with Shuriken Sentai Ninninger . Yeah, Ninninger is forever ONLY SLIGHTLY BETTER than that junk called Power Rangers Ninja Steel. Ninninger had its Ranger History lessons since it was the 40th birthday of Himitsu Sentai Goranger . I still think that Shimoyama managed to do Kamen Rider Zi-O better than Kamen Rider Decade . I'm more or less "caught up" with Avatar Sentai Donbrothers.  I've been the watching the series in very irregulat paces these days. Then again I no longer plan to do episode reviews as blogging is JUST A HOBBY. I realized a few things as 2022 ends. Toei Ltd. did hit the market big in 1993. I did write a post talking about that during Power Rangers' silver anniversary and the same year when Dimensions in Danger kicked in. This week has a very weird side plot where Haruka Kito takes driving lessons. Yup, her auntie who she lives with decided to enroll her to take driving lessons ASAP! Inoue is also known to revisit old scripts AND add a twist. Inoue was known to have written the X-1 Mask episode in  Hikari Sentai Maskman . It was a one-parter that provided a template for two characters - Burai and Gai Yuki. Though, Inoue didn't do much in  Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger . Later,  Inoue had two episodes in  Mirai Sentai Timeranger . Inoue juggled in between  Timeran...

Super Sentai DVD releases is back on track, right? Well, isn't it something to think that Tokosou Sentai Dekaranger did get its first full fan sub with TV-Nihon. Dekaranger may be the first exposure that some Power Rangers fans from the West had to the  Super Sentai franchise. Now, no surprise that Dekaranger finally gets its official DVD release .  After covering a good portion of the first Saban era that's Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger up to Hyajakuu Sentai Gaoranger - it's no surprise that the Disney era is getting covered. We had Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger and Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger . Abaranger will get a 20th-anniversary reunion movie.
