Wacky Post: How King-Ohger's Himeno Ran Made Me Rethink Of Beast Morphers' Zoey Reeves

Some time ago, I wrote a comparison of Haruka Kito with Yoko Usami and Zoey Reeves. I was putting this wacky post for a long time. I did see several photos of actress Erica Murakami (who's half-Canadian) without her wig. What might not be easy to notice is that she does bear certain resemblances to actress Jacqueline Scislowski. The characters of Himeno Ran and Zoey only have yellow spandex in common. Zoey still has a mother while Himeno lost her parents too soon. Himeno seems to act selfish when she really isn't. Both actresses are also born in 2000 and are 23 years old.

Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger might be a celebratory season after all. I feel like many events that happen within the show are Easter Eggs towards several very old shows. Heck, I even feel Jeramie Brasserie himself has to be a reference to Japanese Spider-Man way back in 1978. That's all before Haim Saban produced what I'd dub as Saban Spider-Man in 1994. I feel that Rita Kaniska herself was really named after Rita Repulsa. It's Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers' 30th anniversary. It's also the 25th anniversary of Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog, Seijuu Sentai Gingaman, and the movie The Man in the Iron Mask. Did the sibling rivalry of Racules and Gira become a reference to the said movie? Maybe, maybe not, but Toei has been using American pop culture references. Heck, just think of how Tokosou Robo Janperson does reference Robocop a lot even if said hero was always a robot.

This photo from Jacqueline's Instagram makes me think they'd make better citizens for Ishabana than the Japanese actors made to play them. I wanted to imagine that's Himeno visiting Toufu in civilian attire. The capital is known as Flopital - a combination of the words flower and hospital. Instead, we know how the budget for Super Sentai or any related shows can be cut to a certain extent. I guess hiring a group of white people to play as citizens in Ishabana would be too much of a hassle. Also, my wish that Jacqueline would be Himeno would be d*mn too expensive. I still want to see Jacqueline cosplay as Himeno in Power Morphicon.

This scene from episode 19 makes me imagine what if Ben and Betty were there. Both Yanma Gast and Jeramie were still injured. There's Elegans Moun taking care of them. I think it was rather careless of the nurse. I almost thought of Ben and Betty were assigned to take care of the two injured people. That's only for both Jeramie and Yanma to escape from the treatment center. Ben and Betty did screw up a couple of times in Power Rangers Beast Morphers. The nurse was already dumb as Betty though.

I even want to imagine what if Toei really wanted to get Jacqueline to play Himeno. I even imagine that certain producers who attended Power Morphicon tried to secure her. Maybe, they told her that she'd be dubbed over by Arisa Komiya - her counterpart in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters. We also had Power Rangers SPD dubbed by the cast of Tokosou Sentai Dekaranger. We also had some white cast members getting dubbed over. Diane Martin in Battle Fever J was dubbed by Lisa Komaki (who also guested in the show). The late Leo Menegheti was dubbed over by the late Shozo Iizuka in Kidou Keiji Jiban. B-Fighter Kabuto had Devil May Cry's main voice actor Reuben Langdon voiced over by Koichi Tochika. However, Reuben's character of Mac Windy only showed up for seven episodes. Later, Reuben served as the suit actor for Dragontron while being voiced by Doug Stone. If so, Jacqueline would've probably made history by being a ranger in both shows. I think she may have turned in the offer for valid reasons like a busy schedule. Jacqueline already starred in a psychological thriller TV movie called Killer Competition. Also, I think Jacqueline being in Japan for an entire year might stifle whatever bigger plans she has. So, I think my wish not coming true was for the best.

Unlike Beast Morphers, I'm actually glad that King-Ohger hasn't been making all those annoying Ranger History lessons in the former. Instead, King-Ohger tries to be its own thing in its own obviously self-contained World of King-Ohger. It's pretty much like how Ucchu Sentai Kyuranger verified itself as a more obvious entirely different continuity. It's because King-Ohger lacks Modern Japan. Instead, Chikyu is apparently some imaginary version of Earth way different than ours. Still, I can't help but joke stuff like Rita Kaniska must be Lord Zedd's and Rita Repulsa's daughter or that Ben and Betty should've been employed in Ishabana. LOL.
