Destroyed Sentai Headquarters

Image
There have been a few bases in Super Sentai that got destroyed. Here they are: The Goggle V team lost the underground portion of their base when Mazurka invaded it while being showered by hightron particles. Mazurka became a suicide bomb which blew up the base. She died but the others survived, even Deathgiller. The Dynamen lost their underground portion of the base in episode 37 when Zenobia was first released taking along with it the assistant android Kendo Robot. The EDS base in Changeman got destroyed due to Ahames invading it acting as a suicide bomber. Fiveman's Magmabase was destroyed in combat against Vulgyre. Only Super Five Robo survived the attack.

Japanese Entertainment is Pretty Overlooked and Underrated By Biases?

Image
Okay this is really something that I'm writing about this one in a Super Sentai blog but I have a feeling that Japanese entertainment is pretty underrated. Why? I've remembered watching a LOT of American shows when I was younger, without knowing it was from a Japanese source until later, like for instance the Voltron saga (which was taken from Golion and Dairugger XV) to the Power Rangers series. In Asia, I would like to admit that Chinese and Korean entertainment has stormed against Japanese entertainment too. So for example, in the Philippines, Super Sentai isn't that shown as much as Chinese soap operas. Like for example, we have more people watching F4 or 5566 over Japanese shows of any kind. Also in America, Chinese celebrities are more celebrated than Japanese celebrities these days. It seems Japan is getting left behind. Also, Westerners are going to China to learn basic Mandarin and more whites regardless of gender prefer Chinese mates over Japanese mates for...

Sentai Rangers Brought Back to Life After Death

Image
Another strange thing in Super Sentai is that there are actually rangers who were brought back to life after they were supposedly killed. These are: In Fiveman, Gaku Hoshikawa/Five Red was killed by Chevalier who used Alligator-Toad Gin to freeze time. He was seriously injured to the point he died. However thanks to his sister/fellow ranger Kasumi's treachery, he was brought back to life. In Zyuranger, Burai/Dragon Ranger was supposedly dead but he was resurrected by the dinosaur gods and Clotho, in the assumption that Geki would kill him and get the Zyusoken. He finally died a second time when the green candle finally used up all its wax- plus Bandora destroyed the lapseless room. In Gaoranger, we have Gaku Washio/Gao Yellow, Kai Samezu/Gao Blue, Soutari Ishigome/Gao Black and Sae Taiga/Gao White who were killed by Ura's super form but they were brought back to life by Futaro/Gao God. In Magiranger, Wolzard and Hikaru/Magishine were killed in episode 48 by N-Ma but were br...

Sentai Villains That Got Killed More Than Once

Image
Here are some villains that got killed more than once. IMO this is just weird science. They are: Juuoh- In episode 30, he survived the initial attack by the Metal Megas. He fell down to pieces in episode 31. Since his parts were intact for reassembly, he was brought back to life in episode 34. He was killed in episode 49 when he received severe damage from both Silver and the Biomen. Giluke in Changeman (center)- He was killed by Star King Bazoo for attempted rebellion but he later came back as Ghost Giluke before being fully restored. He was killed by the Changeman again once in human form and the other in giant form. Ragorn in Turboranger- He was defeated by Riki Honoo/Red Turbo in a one-on-one-oh-so-intense battle in episode 39 which was arranged by the Nagare Bouma. Also in that episode, the Super Turbo Builder was used to defeat him when he was too powerful for the Super Turbo Robot to handle. He later came back as the fully mobile and golden skinned Neo Ragorn in ep...

Bladerun's Cyborg Form

Image
Okay I may not be liking Goseiger that much (and I hope Goukaiger will do better, I like Go-onger better), but it's pretty interesting to know how Bladerun despite his damaged self is back as a cyborg to serve the Mantrinitis Empire. Hmmm. Things might get pretty dangerous but, I won't be talking much about Goseiger. Actually this is proof of how weird science can be put into the Super Sentai shows.

Sentai Robots That Killed Their Test Pilots

Image
What's also tragic about mecha is that some of them were uncontrollable at first. These are the following: Dr. Yamagata created the Galaxy Robo in Maskman to provide the Maskmen another robot in the future. He was also a close friend of Director Sanjoru Sugata. While it was undergoing test pilot, the robot went berserk on its own killing its own pilot. The Maskmen went to find it since Great Five was buried underground, however Dr. Yamagata's daughter objected to the plan because it reminded her of her father's death. It was unstable at first but through aura power meditation, the Maskmen were able to stabilize it and rescue the buried Great Five robot. In the finale, it defeated Zeba. The Red Puncher in Ohranger was another except it was only piloted by Hoshino Gorou/Oh Red. In the past, UAOH's top leading scientist (played by Ryohei Kobayashi) tested the robot but he died in the process because it was unstable. A tribute to Maskman's Galaxy Robo, also the ...
