Kiramager 15: Listen To Takamachi's Voice

Well, this episode is written by Kaori Kaneko. She was a major writer for Lupinranger vs. Patranger (episodes 8, 11, 18, 29, 36, 43-44) and Ryusoulger episode 10! Honestly, I've lost track of the episode writers already due to my bad habit of biting more than I can chew. Heck, I even forgot that Riku Sanjo wrote episodes 7 and 8! Anyway, this is an episode that makes me wonder is it even a good idea to assign different writers in writing the sixth ranger's introductory arc episodes?

The beginning features Shiguru on a movie set and it's a... J-Drama? I almost thought it's another half-brained villain plot. Instead, it's actually Shiguru's latest project and the guest star Maru Kiuchi (who just turned 18 some time ago) is his co-star Rikako. So, she's just a set-prop? An interesting note is that the guest actress is born of a Russian mother and a Japanese father. No wonder she has Caucasian features.

This is really something when the Kiramagers with Hakataminami are watching the show. I guess it's all about giving moral support to their fellow ranger Shiguru, right?

Is it me or is Takamichi's treasure hunting gag getting THAT ANNOYING? Shiguru is in the middle of his WORK. Yes, Shiguru has to make money and Takamichi interrupts the set. I really find this scene very hard to watch.

Meanwhile, Carantula is playing a child's game turned deadly. Who can remember playing stop light and go light as a child? Granted, Super Sentai is aimed at children so it's only normal this kind of stupid plan happens. This results in Mabusheena, Sayo, Sena, Juuru, and Tametomo gettign stuck in a crazy game. Mabusheena has the highest endurance though.

Honestly, I'm already getting tired of Takamachi expecting treasure and getting a Monstone. I hope that will provide room for his development and learn from this experience. He freaking interrupted the livelihood of Shiguru.

Just when Shiguru and Takamachi are about to stop the Stop Light-Go Light game - Carantula creates a black wall that prevents them from entering. I like the conversation that goes between Shiguru and Takamachi that happens here. Takamachi uses his acquired telepathy which actually works in this scene.

Well, Mabushina manages to stand the endurance test. I really love how the plan works well. Carantula is defeated in his own game and people turned into wooden toys are restored back. Kiramei Silver manages to break in using the Gigant Driller to break in.

It turns out that Carantula does have an ace his sleeve after all. He's gotten the Wanage Hilden to try and get even with the Kiramagers. Also, Carantula figures out his next plan involves marshmallows.

Meanwhile, there's still a long way to go (apparently) before Takamachi can reconnect with his foster sister Mabusheena. Talk about a weird setting. Takamachi has both his biological brother and foster sister in the same roof.

Fear of marshmallows? Now I wonder what caused it to start? Regardless, Tete Inoue will be writing next week's episode. Previously, he wrote the Groundhog Day episode as well as episodes 27 and 32 of Kyuranger.
